Ideas to brighten up Pride Month in Metro Detroit
It's June, which means the summer sun is finally here — as are LGBTQ+ pride events.
There's so much to do across the region and in Michigan, from festivals to sweet treats and vendor markets. Here are some suggestions.
🥘 Patronize an LGBTQ+-owned local business. Visit Detroit recently posted a list, including La Feria in Midtown, Detroit Vegan Soul in northwest Detroit, Not Sorry Goods in Ferndale and GiGi's on the west side.
👠 See drag artists perform at Motor City Pride in Hart Plaza. Afterward, grab some fresh-squeezed lemonade and Pride Month swag.
Saturday, 1pm-9pm; Sunday, 12:30pm-7pm. $6.
🍻 Say cheers to a Pride-themed bar crawl around Greektown, with themed drinks, specials, live music and dancing.
June 21 from 5-10pm. $23.
😄 Join an evening of comedy in Ferndale to fundraise for the nonprofit Ruth Ellis Center.
Sunday, 7-10pm. $30.
June 22, 1-6pm. Free!
