Notre Dame visited by the sons of three former NFL players
Notre Dame visited by the sons of three former NFL players Fighting Irish could be home to Devin Fitzgerald, Kaydon Finley. Thomas Davis Jr. has already committed However your Father's Day weekend went, it probably looked different than what took place on the Notre Dame campus. The sons of three former NFL players were in South Bend visiting with the Fighting Irish. Wide receivers Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley joined Notre Dame commit Thomas Davis Jr. on campus. Fitzgerald and Finley are four-star recruits. Devin, of course, is the son of Larry Fitzgerald, who played for the Arizona Cardinals for 17 seasons. Finley is the son of Jermichael Finley, a tight end who played six years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers. The senior Davis played 15 seasons over 16 years in the NFL -- he missed the 2010 campaign due to injury. He was with the Carolina Panthers for most of that time, but he also played with the Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Football Team (now Washington Commanders). Perhaps Davis Jr. can convince Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley to join him in South Bend. On3's Mike Singer projects that Notre Dame will land 2026 WR Devin Fitzgerald
On3's Mike Singer projects that Notre Dame will land 2026 WR Devin Fitzgerald While Notre Dame football didn't land any commitments this past weekend, as head coach Marcus Freeman says, there will be delayed gratification. If On3's Mike Singer is correct, then the Irish will be landing Devin Fitzgerald, the son of NFL and Pittsburgh legend Larry Fitzgerald. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 195-pound prospects is the nation's No. 483 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, and while the ranking might not be as high as you'd like to see, that doesn't tell the whole story. Devin, like his father, is a great route running, and has been taught the nuances of being a wide receiver by one of the best to ever do it. You'll be hard pressed to find a better mentor than Larry, and he'd most likely bring some of that knowledge with him to South Bend. The elder Fitzgerald is already a friend of the program, having spoken with the team a few years back. If Notre Dame is able to add Devin to its 2026 recruiting class, they'd not only get a great player, but another former NFL father with loads of experience and knowledge to help as well.

Devin Fitzgerald, son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald, visits Notre Dame
Devin Fitzgerald, son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald, visits Notre Dame Notre Dame is coming off arguably its biggest recruiting weekend of the offseason, and Devin Fitzgerald was not disappointed. The Class of 2026 receiver from Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ), who is the son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald, returned to South Bend for an official visit and was able to congregate with other recruits, current players and coaches. Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman hosted all of the official visitors at his house for food and games Friday night, which was one of the highlights of the visit. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder, who is a three-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, will take an official visit to North Carolina next weekend and then make his commitment July 5. Could ND land yet another legacy recruit? Last season, Fitzgerald hauled in 52 passes for 720 yards with nine touchdowns. Cardinals legend's son could play college football in Arizona
Arizona Cardinals fans all know about legendary receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who will end up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His son, Devin Fitzgerald, plays wide receiver as well. He is a junior at Brophy in Phoenix and has received several scholarship offers to a number of universities, including places like Boston College, Florida State and Iowa State. He announced via social media on Tuesday that he was given a scholarship offer by Arizona State after meeting with the Sun Devils' receivers coach, Hines Ward, who played 14 years in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has also been offered by Arizona, Arizona State's rival university in Tucson. Per 247 Sports, he has 21 offers. Wouldn't it be cool to have probably the greatest athlete in Arizona sports history see his son become a star locally as well?
