Devon fire crews tackle gorse fire on open moorland
Investigations are under way following a gorse fire in and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to the blaze behind the old engine house at Wheal Betsy, Mary Tavy, at about 22:10 BST on service said crews from Tavistock, Yelverton, Plympton and Bere Alston tackled the fire on the open moorland, an area covering about 20m by 30m (65ft by 100ft).It said crews revisited the scene on Sunday morning, adding the incident had been handed over to the police.

Fire crews tackle Devon barn blaze
Firefighters have tackled a barn blaze in Halberton, Devon. Crews were called at 20:38 BST on Wednesday to the large barn that contained and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said four fire engines and a water bowser were sent to the scene. One appliance remains at the site. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was injured.

Fire crews tackle gorse blaze in Torquay
Fire crews have tackled a gorse blaze in Torquay, from the town and Paignton responded after they received multiple calls about the fire on Rock End Avenue, in the Wellswood 20 sq m of gorse on the cliff was damaged by the blaze, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service used one jet and portable lighting to tackle the blaze.

Crews tackle large fire at Wellington holiday house
Dozens of firefighters have put out a blaze at a large holiday house in fire broke out at Bindon Country House in Wellington at about 00:00 BST, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service started on the first floor and spread into the roof, with eight fire engines from Wellington, Taunton, Bampton and Bridgwater sent to the scene, firefighters blaze was extinguished and everyone in the house was safely evacuated, the service said. A crew remains at the property to dampen down hot spots and prevent the fire from reigniting.

Totnes crews tackle house fire which spread from garden
A fire that began in a garden has spread to a nearby house in Totnes, firefighters have said. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it received the call at about 14:20 fire engines were sent to the scene in the Pathfields area, said the fire injuries have been reported.
