‘Dexter: Resurrection' Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out?

The fourth series in the Dexter franchise, Dexter: Resurrection follows the events of Dexter: New Blood, which ran for one season from 2021 to 2022. The original Dexter series ran for eight seasons from 2006 to 2013 and the franchise's prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, was released in 2024. The first two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection were released on streaming on Paramount+ Premium (formerly Paramount+ with Showtime) at 3 a.m. ET/12:01 PT on Friday. The first two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection will also premiere on cable on Showtime on Sunday. Below is the full release schedule for Dexter: Resurrection. Paramount+ confirmed in an email on Thursday that new episodes begin streaming on Paramount+ Premium on Fridays at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT and air on cable on Showtime on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. As such, the release dates listed below are for Paramount+ Premium, followed by Showtime's dates in parentheses. Episode 1: July 11 – A Beating Heart (July 13 on Showtime) Episode 2: July 11 – Camera Shy (July 13 on Showtime) Episode 3: July 18 – Backseat Driver (July 20 on Showtime) Episode 4: July 25 – Call Me Red (July 27 on Showtime) Episode 5: Aug. 1 – Title To Be Determined (Aug. 3 on Showtime) Episode 6: Aug. 8 – Title TBD (Aug. 10 on Showtime) Episode 7: Aug. 15 – Title TBD (Aug. 17 on Showtime) Episode 8: Aug. 22 – Title TBD (Aug. 24 on Showtime) Episode 9: Aug. 29 – Title TBD (Aug. 31 on Showtime) Episode 10: Sept. 5 – Title TBD (Sept.7 on Showtime) What Is 'Dexter: Resurrection' About? The official summary for the new Dexter series reads, 'Dexter: Resurrection takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right. 'But closure won't come easy. When Miami Metro's Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined – and that the only way out is together.' Dexter Resurrection also stars James Remar, who plays Dexter Morgan's late father, Harry. The series also stars Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater and Uma Thurman as his associate, Charley. This season's guest stars include Neil Patrick Harris as Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia, Eric Stonestreet as Al and David Dastmalchian as Gareth. In additon, John Lithgow will return in a guest role as Arthur Mitchell/The Trinity Killer as will Jimmy Smits as Miami Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado. Clyde Phillips, who previously served as an executive producer and the showrunner of Dexter, Dexter: First Blood and Dexter: Original Sin, is one of the EPs and is the showrunner of Dexter: Resurrection. Dexter: Resurrection premieres Friday with Episodes 1 and 2 on Paramount+ Premium and debuts Sunday on cable on Showtime at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
