The PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana aims to improve agricultural conditions in targeted underdeveloped districts
The government has decided to launch the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY), aimed at the development of agricultural districts across the country.
Under this scheme, 36 existing schemes will be consolidated to ensure better coordination and implementation. The programme will have an annual outlay of Rs 24,000 crore.
What is Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana?
The scheme has been developed on the lines of the Aspirational Districts Program and aims to uplift farmers in underdeveloped agricultural regions. PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana will be implemented in partnership with state governments and will focus in sustainable farming practices and generating livelihoods in rural areas.
