Three youngsters killed as truck hits bike in Tumakuru
Three security personnel died after a container truck rammed their motorcycle near Kyathasandra, Tumakuru, early Friday morning. The deceased are Rajesh, Dhananjay and Dhanush, all in their 20s and working with an industrial unit in Dobbespet. The three were riding back to their single-bedroom house in Upparahalli when the accident occurred at 7.30am, police said. "The youngsters visited a fuel station in Nandihalli. After filling petrol, they reached Bengaluru-Pune highway. At the same time, the container truck coming from the rear rammed the bike, crushing all three to death," a police officer said, adding, "The driver and others in the truck fled the scene." Hoax bomb threat to passport office, CM's house Unidentified persons sent an email to Regional Passport Office in Koramangala, stating they will blast the office and the the chief minister's residence with the help of suicide bombers. "Today is holy Dhul Hijjah day. Using explosives made of ammonium sulphur, we will blast the passport office as well as the chief minister's residence. This is vengeance for actions taken against Kasab and Savukku Shankar," was the gist of the email written in English. The anti-sabotage team, along with the bomb disposal squad and local police, scanned the passport office and CM's residence and found the threat to be a hoax. BGS flyover to be closed today for Bakrid BGS Flyover, one of the busiest overpasses in the city connecting City Market (Town Hall junction) and Mysuru Road, will be closed for some hours Saturday during Bakrid celebrations at BBMP ground, Chamarajpet. Pedestrian dies in road accident in killed Karnataka
Representative image UDUPI: A pedestrian died in an accident reported in Kaup police station limits on Tuesday. The deceased is Dhananjay, 46. According to the police, the complainant noticed that around 8:50 p.m., on the one-way stretch of National Highway 66 (Mangaluru–Udupi route), he saw a lorry hit a man who was waiting to cross the road. Rushing to the spot, he found the victim was an acquaintance and a resident of Fisheries Road, Muluru. He suffered grievous injuries. Meanwhile, he noticed that after stopping the lorry a short distance ahead, the driver fled with the vehicle. However, the lorry registration number was noted. The victim was immediately rushed to Udupi District Govt Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS and Section 134(a & b) of the Indian Motor Vehicles Act.

30-yr-old driver's body found in Bokaro
Bokaro: The body of a 30-year-old driver was found near Govind pond in Khedaadih locality under the Pindrajora police station area here on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Dhananjay, a resident of Shiv Shakti Colony in Sector-9, who used to drive a Toto and was living in his in-laws' house. Several deep knife marks were found on Dhananjay's body, which indicated murder. His Toto was found near the spot but the battery was missing, pointing to murder after robbery. After receiving information about the murder from the locals, police went to the spot started an investigation with the help of a dog squad. Sources said police had seen two youths moving suspiciously with Dhananjay in the CCTV footage. Krishna Sahu, the father-in-law of the deceased, said, "After receiving a call on Sunday night, Dhananjay left saying that he would drop a passenger, but he did not return home. We searched for him in the morning, and later received a call about his body being found near the pond." Police said they were investigating the case from all possible angles.

Karnataka BJP IT cell faces FIR for post claiming ‘every time Rahul Gandhi leaves, something sinister happens'
An FIR has been registered at the High Grounds Police Station in Bengaluru against the Karnataka BJP IT Cell over a social media post allegedly targeting Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. The complaint was filed by CM Dhananjay, President of the KPCC Legal Unit. In the complaint, Dhananjay alleged that the BJP's state IT Cell posted a message on social media suggesting that "whenever Congress leader Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, there will be one attack after another in Kashmir." The complaint stated that the post was provocative and aimed at spreading false information against Rahul Gandhi. "This post is in a way that is detrimental to peace and harmony. This is a provocative post and an attempt has been made to spread false news against Rahul Gandhi and tarnish his reputation," the complainant said. Police have registered a case and said further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, Opposition parties on Thursday conveyed their unanimous support to the government at an all-party meeting over any action it takes in the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam, with officials explaining how "the lapse" took place. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said after the meeting that the government informed about the decisions taken at the Cabinet Committee on Security, which was held a day after the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam that killed 26 people. He said the meeting was briefed by IB and Home Ministry officials on "how the terror incident happened and how the lapse occurred". Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda attended the meeting. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, party leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party's Ram Gopal Yadav, NCP-SP leader Supriya Sule, NCP's Shrikant Shinde, NCP leaders Praful Patel and Shrikant Shinde, RJD's Prem Chand Gupta (RJD), DMK's Tiruchi Siva, BJD's Sasmit Patra, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh, Trinmool Congress leader Sudip Bandopadhyay, YSCRP leader PV Mithun Reddy (YSRC), BJP's Anil Baluni, TDP's Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, Indian Union Muslim League's Haris Beeran and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi were among those present. On Thursday, a meeting convened by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, brought together leaders from across the political spectrum to deliberate on the path forward in the wake of the April 22 terror attack that shook the region. The attack, which targeted tourists in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam, claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, leaving several others injured. It is considered one of the deadliest terror attacks in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing, in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed, and among the most severe since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
