Agra wins kabaddi gold at KVS National Sports Meet in Bengaluru
The valedictory ceremony of the 54th KVS National Sports Meet 2025 for U-14 Boys Kabaddi was held on Wednesday at PM Shri K.V. MEG and Centre, Bengaluru. In the final, Agra triumphed over Ranchi with a commanding performance, showcasing swift raids and solid defense. Patna secured third place. Dharmendra Patle, Deputy Commissioner, KVS RO Ahmedabad, was the chief guest, accompanied by R. Pramod and Col. Govind Ram Choudhary as guests. NCC cadets presented a ceremonial guard of honour, while the Girl Pipe Band captivated the audience with a stirring performance. Mr. Patle, in his address, lauded the athletes' sportsmanship and encouraged them to strive for excellence. Cultural highlights included a Kannada folk dance by students. The prize distribution recognised the top three teams and awarded participation certificates to 17 other regions.

Contemporary art exhibition at CKP
The third edition of Visual Confluence, a vibrant celebration of contemporary art, was inaugurated on June 9 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (CKP). The exhibition features the works of 20 artists from across India, showcasing a compelling fusion of traditional Indian aesthetics with modern artistic expressions. The exhibition is open from 10.30 a.m. to 7 p.m till June 15. Dharmendra Patle, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Bengaluru), who inaugurated the exhibition, underscored the transformative role of art in fostering creativity and cultural connection. Jahar Dasgupta, an eminent artist and guest of honour, reflected on the delicate balance between innovation and sensitivity in artistic practice.
