Bageshwar Dham tent collapse: Dhirendra Shastri provides Rs 7.68 lakh solatium to deceased's family
Chhatarpur: A team of Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Shastri has provided Rs 7.68 lakh solatium to the family of the man who lost his life during a tent collapse at his place in Madhya Pradesh. On July 3, Shyamlal Kaushal, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Basti district, died when an event was underway at Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur. Soon after the incident, Dhirendra Shastri announced that whatever donation the Bageshwar Dham receives that day will be provided to Kaushal's family. Honouring Dhirendra Shastri's commitment, a team of Bageshwar Dham visited the aggrieved family and handed over the amount. Victim's daughter Somya Kaushal confirmed that a team of Bageshwar Dham visited his mother in Nandnagar village in Basti district and provided the compensation amount. "Shastriji had announced to provide one day's collection as compensation. He has fulfilled his commitment. The entire family is grateful to him and wishes for his good health," Somya said. Kaushal, who visited Bageshwar Dham, along with his daughter and son-in-law, was severely injured after a tent collapsed on him due to heavy rain. Earlier on that unfateful day, Kaushal had participated in the morning 'aarti'. His son-in-law, Rajesh Kumar Kaushal, told the media that as the family stood under the tent, it suddenly collapsed. Rajesh said an iron angle struck his father-in-law's head. Six members of the family, including Rajesh's wife Saumya and daughters Parul and Unnati, were injured in the incident. Severely injured Kaushal was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries within one hour. The incident occurred shortly after the morning 'Aarti', as hundreds of devotees gathered under the tent to seek shelter from the rain. Eight others were also injured in that incident. The crowd had assembled for the ongoing 'Balaji Divya Darbar' and the upcoming birthday celebrations of Dhirendra Shastri on July 4.

‘My Only Dream Is Bhagwa-e-Hind; Will Retaliate If My Religion Is Attacked': Dhirendra Shastri
Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri on Sunday said that his only dream is to see 'Bhagwa-e-Hind' (Saffron India). He said he would defend his religion if attacked, as he is a Hindu and supports Hindutva. He said he has no problem with any religion, including Islam and Christianity, but is concerned about Hindus who create divisions based on caste. Addressing the people at Sanatan Mahakumbh, Dhirendra Shastri said, "My only dream is Bhagwa-e-Hind. If my religion is attacked, I will retaliate, as I am Hindu and I talk only about Hindutva. I have no problem with any religion, be it Muslims or Christians, but we have issues with those Hindus who divide us on caste,' ANI quoted. He also clarified that he is not in Bihar for the elections. 'I will do a pad yatra in Bihar post legislative elections for those who think that I am here for any party or election. But, I belong to every party that has Hindus," ANI quoted Shastri as saying.

Does Pandit Dhirendra Shastri Charge Rs 50 Lakh For Katha? Baba Ramdev Says 'It Is...'
Baba Ramdev dismissed allegations that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, also known as Baba Bageshwar Dham, charges up to Rs 50 lakh for his 'kathas' (religious stories) Amid an escalating controversy over the alleged exorbitant fees charged by Pandit Dhirendra Shastri for his religious discourses, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has come out in support of the preacher, calling the entire conversation around money 'useless". In an interview to News18 Hindi, Baba Ramdev dismissed allegations that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, also known as Baba Bageshwar Dham, charges up to Rs 50 lakh for his kathas (religious stories). 'Who takes how much and who gives how much, talking about this is useless," he said, adding, 'If someone wants to call Baba Dhirendra Shastri for a katha, we will get him on the phone. If someone wants to donate Rs 5 lakh, Rs 50 lakh, or Rs 5 crore for the hospital he is building, they can do so. And if someone doesn't want to give anything, they can still listen to his kathas for free on YouTube." The controversy erupted after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that some babas charge such hefty fees for kathas that ordinary people cannot afford. Though he did not name anyone, the comments were widely perceived to be aimed at Baba Bageshwar Dham. When asked about Yadav's remarks, Baba Ramdev quipped, 'If the Bageshwar katha is too expensive, listen to me. I can narrate every story." At the same time, he subtly cautioned Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, who recently said, 'I am a devotee of Bajrang Bali (Lord Hanuman). I can't answer every donkey's words," by saying, 'He's my younger brother. He shouldn't say such things. But no one should speak lightly about him either." It's worth noting that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri has amassed a massive following across the country, but his meteoric rise hasn't been without criticism, particularly over accusations of promoting superstition and monetising faith. While his supporters call him a spiritual messenger of Lord Hanuman, critics have increasingly questioned the commercialisation of his kathas, often citing unverified reports of multi-crore fees.
