Everything to expect at an all-pink jumping kangoo class in Dubai
Looking to shake up your weekly workouts? Enter kangoo jumping, the high-intensity class where you'll spend a glorious hour bouncing around and working up a sweat. Located at Bodify studio in Dubai Internet City, don't let the cute all-pink aesthetic fool you, as this class is going to work you from head to toe. Thinking of signing up? Here's exactly what to expect during the workout. What to expect in a kangoo class The kangoo classes are held inside one of the three classrooms inside Bodify. It's all pink everywhere and you'll quickly be guided to start strapping on your boots (they're pink too). Similar to ski boots, you'll lock them up before trying to stand up for the first time. If this is your first class, expect to be wobbling for the next few minutes back and forth. Our top tip? If you keep moving, or bending your feet and knees back and forth, you'll be able to keep stable — for a while at least. Each boot weighs 2.5kg, and be prepared to feel the effects as soon as you start. Beginning with a light warm up of jogging and finding your feet (literally), you'll then move onto a little choreography. Constantly moving, expect to hit your step goal during the class, which is estimated to burn up to 800 calories per session. The boots have a lot of resistance (Credit: Supplied) Working on more than just your legs, the class is a full-body work out, so hardcore (sorry) crunches and muscle-burning exercises. It won't be long before you feel those endorphins hit along with everyone else in the class, which will keep you going until the end of the hour-long session. A weird workout (that's a lot of fun), kangoo jumping is so Dubai and we love it. From Dhs59 (trial class). Class timings vary. Bodify, Business Central Towers, Dubai Internet City, (050 337 0188).
