R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh's Aap Jaisa Koi album brings monsoon romance alive with soulful tracks like 'Mila Tujhe'. Out now ahead of Netflix release.
As the monsoon clouds roll in, so does a new wave of cinematic romance — courtesy of Aap Jaisa Koi. Slated to release on Netflix on July 11, 2025, the heartfelt film starring R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh promises to stir hearts with its emotionally rich soundtrack and tender narrative. And just in time for the season of longing and reflection, the film's full music album has been unveiled — a sonic monsoon in itself.
Directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment, Aap Jaisa Koi is more than a romantic drama — it's a story about rediscovered love, companionship, and what the makers call 'Barabari Wala Pyaar" — a love that feels equal, mature, and deeply earned.
At the heart of the album is the moving ballad 'Mila Tujhe', composed by Justin Prabhakaran with lyrics by Raj Shekhar, and soulfully sung by Vishal Mishra and Prateeksha Srivastava. Capturing the delicate vulnerability between the lead pair, the song explores how silence can be the loudest expression of love — quiet, hesitant, and deeply human.
Speaking about the album, R. Madhavan shared, 'The soundtrack is an integral part of this film's journey. Every song is rooted in honesty, reflecting the hearts of our characters. I'm grateful to our music team for creating such moving compositions, and I hope audiences feel the same connection with the music and our film, as I do."
Fatima Sana Shaikh echoed his sentiment, adding, 'Each track carries its own emotion, weaving a tale of love and longing. This album feels like a gentle companion — one that holds your hand through every tender moment. The melodies echo the quiet beauty of our story, reflecting the emotional heartbeat of the film."
The five-track album opens with the already beloved 'Jab Tu Sajan', composed by Rochak Kohli, penned by Gurpreet Saini, and sung by Mohit Chauhan — a song drenched in nostalgia and warmth. Kohli also delivers 'Dhuan Dhuan', an introspective number voiced by Sanjith Hegde and co-composed with Sharan Rawat, that explores emotional ambiguity and quiet desire.
The romantic duet 'Saare Jag Mein' sung by Aanandi Joshi and Abhay Jodhpurkar continues the thread of tender intimacy, while 'Jaadu Wali Chimki', sung by Devendra Pal Singh and Vidhya Gopal, brings whimsy and playfulness to the mix. At its emotional core remains 'Mila Tujhe', which lingers long after the last note.
Composer Rochak Kohli, reflecting on his contribution, said, 'The music of this album doesn't try too hard—it simply flows, giving it a timeless quality. I'm grateful to R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh for bringing warmth and character to every song. I hope the audience connects with and feels every beat we've poured into the album."
Justin Prabhakaran, who composed three of the five tracks, added, 'Our songs capture the emotional heart of Aap Jaisa Koi. They are deeply felt, beautifully crafted, and universally relatable. This album is about discovering beauty in stillness—we wanted the music to feel lived-in, like emotions that remain unspoken yet profoundly felt."
Whether you're nursing old wounds or falling in love anew, the Aap Jaisa Koi album is your go-to monsoon soundtrack — a lush blend of romance, reflection, and lyrical grace. For those who find comfort in music that wraps around the heart like a shawl of memory, this one's for you.
