Families looking for fun in the sun will find plenty of kid-friendly attractions at the California Mid-State Fair this summer.
Little ones may enjoy the 'Kids Day on the Farm' exhibit, which features multiple free activities including interactive cow milking demos; planting, watering and harvesting plants; and even kid's roping, the website said. Make sure to say hello to the baby chicks that live at the exhibit. The farming exhibit is open every day from 4 to 7 p.m.
If you're looking for an opportunity to sit in the shade, head on over to the Midway to take a train ride around the fairgrounds.
Meanwhile, families can participate in the Diaper Dash — where young contestants crawl to the finish line cheered on by parents and friends. The event is every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mulbeary Park. Children must be younger than 2-years-old to participate.
Finally, the fair is hosting 'Kids Day' on the final Friday, July 25, when all kids under 12 are eligible for free admission.
