Funkmaster Flex Doesn't Think Cassie Is a ‘Victim' After Diddy Verdict: ‘Diddy Made Bad Choices & You Made Bad Choices'

Funkmaster Flex is weighing in on the Diddy verdict. The Hot 97 radio personality took to Instagram to give his thoughts after the embattled mogul was acquitted on three of five charges, sharing a few lengthy captions. First, he shared a statement made by Cassie Ventura's lawyer commending her for getting the legal process kicked off by filing her lawsuit against Diddy last year, and while he acknowledged that she's 'been through a lot,' he doesn't believe that she's a 'victim.' 'She is such a nice person and always gave off good energy! I hope her and her family overcome all of the pain they are going through! The entertainment business is a dangerous environment that everyone is not built for!' He then alleged that she originally came forward because of money. 'I do think you and your lawyers should give it a rest,' Flex wrote. 'You threatened to drop a book then got paid out to not drop the book! (if you cared so much to get your message out you would've dropped the book.) I get it… it's a case.. You had to testify… you 30mil up and 10mil up from hotel! You plan this 'lick' please don't be mad at me but I don't see u as a 'victim.' You was young, Diddy made bad choices and you made bad choices! When do u plan to teach girls not to make the same mistakes you made? Just my opinion! @cassie.' Then, in a second post in which Flex shared a not guilty graphic from NBC News, he wrote that he hoped everyone can 'find peace and move on' while calling the case a 'witch hunt' and said that he would be talking more about the verdict on his Hot 97 radio show on Thursday night. 'I hope everyone involved in this case can now find peace and move on,' he said. 'Diddy has made mistakes… feels like he has been judged by a jury and he can move on with his life… I've known Diddy a long time… I played his parties… I've never seen anything out of order… this case was such a stretch and witch hunt… I hope Cassie and Jane doe will find peace with the verdict!' Diddy was denied bail and will have to stay in custody until his sentencing date, which might be in October. Cassie released a statement through her legal team, asking that the judge deny his bail because she believes he's a threat to those who testified. 'Ms. Ventura believes that Mr. Combs is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community,' Douglas Wigdor told the judge in a letter. Hailey Bieber looks downcast out with gal pal as Justin hits the gym after shock Diddy verdict

As news of the shock Diddy verdict spread around the world, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber were seen on separate outings with their friends this Wednesday. That day, Diddy was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion - after the court heard harrowing testimony about alleged sexual abuse, forced drug binges and so-called 'freak offs.' However the jury, which deliberated for three days, found Diddy guilty on two lesser counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. As the allegations swirled around Diddy, fans shared their fears that Justin had been one of the rap mogul's putative victims, but Justin finally publicly denied as much this May a few days after the trial began in New York. Social media users have been harboring mounting concerns over Justin's health in recent months, and there have also been rumors of marital strife with Hailey. Although the couple presented a united front at a concert over the weekend, they were apart when they surfaced the day Diddy received his astonishing reprieve. Hailey looked downcast as she stepped out that night to Sushi Park, an exclusive West Hollywood restaurant she frequents with Justin and her friends. The 28-year-old niece of Alec Baldwin opted for a black ensemble of a sheer lace top, elegant slacks and a leather jacket, plus shades. She was accompanied by Leonardo DiCaprio's ex-girlfriend Camila Morrone, a model whose mother dated Al Pacino for several years. Justin meanwhile uploaded an Instagram photo that day of himself shirtless at the gym, working out with his rapper friend Gunna. The 31-year-old pop hitmaker also uploaded two closer-up shots that showed him weightlifting, indicating his commitment to staying fit. As Diddy strenuously disputed the allegations against him, there were widespread fears among fans that Justin may have been sexually abused by Diddy during his early years as a child pop star. Last year, a video of the pair resurfaced which some fans labeled as 'disturbing' in which Diddy and Justin - who was a minor at the time - discussed spending time with one another for '48 hours.' The pair also worked together on an album. However, the troubled singer released a statement a few days after the trial began in May, insisting he was not one of Diddy's victims. 'Although Justin is not among Sean Combs' victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve,' his spokesperson said in a statement to TMZ. Sources also informed TMZ on Thursday that the Coming Home rapper never abused Justin in any way. In regards to the videos of Diddy and Justin together, the insiders insisted that the interactions were simply 'performative' - and explained Bieber was closer to the rapper's sons than to Sean. Not long after Diddy was arrested ahead of the trial in which he was acquitted of most charges, a source opened up to about Justin's reaction to the news. 'Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off.' The insider added, 'So many people who helped to make him who he is were very close to Diddy and it has completely thrown him. Justin hasn't been responding on this since the home raids. He's not going to.' According to the source, the singer also regretted working with Combs on the rapper's 2023 album titled The Love Album: Off the Grid. 'He had a long break from Diddy when he believes most of this took place and he had distanced himself from him.' They continued, 'He was featured on Diddy's most recent album, and had he known any of this, there is no way he would have done it.' A past video also resurfaced last year as Diddy and Bieber documented spending '48 hours' together. In the clip, the pair could be seen standing next to each other and Diddy stated, 'He's having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we're doing we can't really disclose. But it's definitely a 15-year-old's dream.' He added: 'I have been given custody of him. He's signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. 'I don't have legal guardianship of him [Bieber] but for the next 48 hours he's with me and we're gonna go full crazy.' The Baby hitmaker could be seen sporting a purple button up as well as a black cap as he stood next to Diddy. During the clip, Justin offered simple responses to Diddy - such as saying 'yeah' and also 'full crazy.' At the time, social media users had jumped to X to share their thoughts on the resurfaced reel which came to light the same week Diddy had been arrested following a sex trafficking probe. One penned, 'These videos NEED to resurface to expose the disturbing behavior of P Diddy around a 15-year-old Justin Bieber. 'This is how a creepy freak behaves. DISTURBING. We should hold people accountable, no matter their status or fame!!!' they added. Another wrote, 'This video of P Diddy & Justin Bieber will forever be creepy,' while one added, 'Diddy's weird obsession with a young Justin Bieber was always disturbing. Hollywood needs to stop excusing these twisted power dynamics.' An X user shared, 'A fully grown DIDDY with 15 year old Justin Bieber talking about partying with him. Look how uncomfortable Justin Bieber is.' In March of last year, another clip had resurfaced shortly after the disgraced rapper's homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided. The video showed Diddy asking Justin - who was 16 at the time - why he hadn't spoken to him that much. 'What's up man, you good? Selling out arenas and everything? Starting to act different, huh? You haven't been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out.' Bieber - who seemingly appeared nervous - replied with, 'I mean you tried to get in contact with me throughout all my... and what not... but you never got my number. I'm going to tell you my number.' The pair have been spotted hanging out on more than one occasion in the past, such as at a bash in Atlanta back in 2014. They were also seen at a Grammys after party in 2016 and on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2011. Fans also claimed last year that Justin's 2021 track titled Lonely possibly hinted at what some fans believed happened between him and Diddy when he was a minor. Some of the lyrics include: 'And everybody saw me sick/And it felt like no one gave a s**t/ They criticized the things I did as an idiot kid. 'What if you had it all/ And it felt like nobody to call? Maybe then you'd know me/'Cause I've had everything/ But no one's listening/ And that's just lonely. I'm so lonely. Lonely.' One fan had written, 'No one protected him. Not even his family. I absolutely adore this song, but the words have always stood out to me. I hope he can heal with time.'

‘You can do anything if you got money': The Diddy verdict sparks internet uproar

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was convicted of prostitution-related offenses but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges on Wednesday, following an eight-week federal trial. The verdict immediately sparked a wave of reactions online, ranging from disbelief to outrage. The jury returned guilty verdicts on 2 of the 5 counts after three days of deliberations. Upon hearing the decision, Combs held his hands in a prayer motion and embraced defense attorney Teny Geragos, according to the Associated Press. The 55-year-old disgraced mogul now faces up to 10 years in prison. Many on social media expressed shock and outrage over the outcome. 'The Diddy jury verdict shocked me. I wasn't expecting anything other than guilty on all charges,' one X user wrote. 'So let me get this straight Diddy was found NOT guilty of sex trafficking…but somehow guilty of transporting someone for prostitution? How does that even work?' another asked. 'This is a staggeringly big loss for federal prosecutors,' journalist Meghann Cuniff posted on X. 'Not guilty on both the RICO and trafficking counts is as bad as it can get for them. When is their press conference??' Some critics raised concerns about the precedent the ruling might set for future sex crime prosecutions. 'This Diddy trial is proof that you can do anything if you got money,' one person wrote. 'The Diddy verdict is a stark display of privilege and the persistent disbelief of women. Absolutely revolting,' another posted. Others focused on the public reaction to the verdict. 'These Diddy takes are about to be cringe-worthy,' one user commented. 'The worst people you know gonna celebrate the Diddy verdict like it's some kind of a win,' another X user wrote. One prediction read: 'Diddy is about to go on the greatest rebrand in american history and yall all gonna fall for it.' 50 Cent, a longtime rival of Combs, shared an Instagram post referring to him as the 'Gay John Gotti'—a nod to the infamous mafia boss known as the 'Teflon Don' for repeatedly avoiding conviction in the 1980s. In response to the verdict, UltraViolet, a women's rights organization, released a statement: 'This is a decisive moment for our justice system, one which threatens to undo the sacrifice of courageous survivors who stepped forward to share their stories in this trial, as well as to all those abused by Diddy who weren't able to,' said Arisha Hatch, the organization's interim executive director, according to The New York Times.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs verdict: Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richard react

NEW YORK — Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richard reacted Wednesday to the verdict in the Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking and racketeering case, as the music mogul was only found guilty for the lesser two counts of the five felonies with which he was charged. Combs, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, was acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges and convicted for prostitution charges. After the verdict was announced, O'Day, one of Combs' former artists of music group Danity Kane, took to Instagram to share that she's so devastated she wanted to 'vomit.' 'Oh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on Rico, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty,' she said on her Instagram stories while filming news coverage of the verdict. 'This makes me physically ill. Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I'm gonna vomit.' Ahead to the trial, O'Day consistently voiced her support for the victims including Combs' ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura. 'The bravery is unmeasurable right now, especially eight months, eight and a half months pregnant, and it's triggering,' O'Day said on an episode of the 'Amy & T.J.' podcast. The 41-year-old artist was reportedly subpoenaed to testify in the trial, but ultimately did not take the stand. However, her bandmate Dawn Richard, who did testify against her former boss in court, called his partial acquittal a 'disappointment.' 'Today's split verdict is a disappointment, but the criminal charges are different than the civil claims we filed and have been fighting against Sean Combs,' she said in a statement via her attorney Lisa Bloom. Back in September of 2024, the former Danity Kane member sued Combs for sexual assault and battery. Bloom added that the musician promises to 'continue to aggressively fight our case until we obtain full and complete justice.' In May, Richard testified that she witnessed Diddy hit Cassie with a hot skillet. 'He came over to the skillet with the eggs in it and tried to hit her over the head, and she fell to the ground,' Richard said on the stand. In 2005, Diddy formed Danity Kane on MTV's 'Making the Band' before the group broke up for good in 2014.
