Akhil Bharata Bhattaraka Jain Mutt Parishad said on Sunday that Bhattaraka seers of all Jain Mutts will gather in Dharmasthala on August 29 to express solidarity with Pattadhikari of Dharmasthala Manjunatha temple D. Veerendra Heggade. A release from its president, Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya, seer of Digambar Jain Mutt, Kanakagiri and its secretary, Dhavalakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya, seer of Digambar Jain Mutt, Arihantagiri, said that some conspirators are levelling allegations against the temple and the family of Mr. Heggade. Dharmasthala is a sacred pilgrimage centre for both Jains and Hindus. Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala has been involved in various social works, including in the education and agriculture sectors. In addition, it has rejuvenated many places of worship. The parishad said that it was appealing to all Jain community people, devotees of the temple, to gather in the temple town on that day.

Jain mutt plans CBSE school in Mys

Mysuru: The Jain Mutt in Shravanabelagola in Hassan district initiated the establishment of a CBSE school at Dattagalli in Mysuru city. The proposed institution, to be developed on a 21,000 sqft plot, aims to provide high-quality education. The 'bhoomi puja' for the project was held on Monday with spiritual fervour and traditional rituals. The sacred ceremony was led by Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya Swami, the pontiff of the Digambar Jain Mutt, Shravanabelagola. Speaking at the event, he shared insights into the long-standing vision behind the project. "This land was allotted to us over 38 years ago by then Muda for education. We are beginning with primary education, starting from pre-KG to grade 5. I urge the community to take advantage of this opportunity for quality education once the school is operational," he stated. Jain community leaders Harish Kumar Hegde, Suresh Kumar Jain, who is secretary Mysore Industries' Association, Vinod Bhakliwal, chairman of Mysore JITO, and Karnataka Jain Theerthakshethra Committee, M R Sunil Kumar Jain, president Mysore Jain Samaj, Puttaraju, managing trustee Shruthakevali Education Trust, and M A Sudhir Kumar Jain and Rajesh Kumar Jain were present. Baban PD, secretary, Bahubali group of institutions, Shravanabelagola, was also present.
