vivo unveils Pad5, but we've seen it before
The vivo S30 series was introduced yesterday and alongside them the company introduced a new tablet. The vivo Pad5 tablet is identical to the iQOO Pad5, down to the memory configurations and prices. The one and only difference between the vivo-branded Pad5 and the iQOO-branded Pad5 is the available colors. The vivo Pad5 comes with a Dimensity 9300+ chipset, coupled with three RAM variants (8/12/16 GB) and three storage options (128/256/512 GB), split into four memory combinations. The tablet's built around a 12.1' LCD with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a resolution of 2,800 x 1,968 px. The circular camera island features a single 8 MP camera. The front camera, which is arguably the more important one, has a 5 MP sensor. This vivo Pad5 features a 10,000 mAh battery that can theoretically provide over 8 hours of video calls. It's also great for note-taking, as it supports a cover keyboard and a stylus, along with some AI capabilities offered by OriginOS 5. vivo Pad5 The vivo Pad5 is available in Blue, Pink, or Black and costs CNY 2,499 ($350/€310) for 8/128 GB, CNY 2,799 ($390/€350)for 8/256 GB, CNY 3,099 ($430/€380) for 12/256 GB, and CNY 3,499 ($485/€430) for 16/512 GB. We don't expect this tablet to ever be sold outside China. Source (in Chinese)

vivo T4 Ultra's chipset revealed by new leak
Vlad 26 May 2025 vivo Android Rumors vivo's T4 Ultra is coming in June, according to a new leak. It will then join the T4 and T4x in the company's roster in India, and there may even be a T4 Lite on the way as well. The T4 Ultra is going to be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, which makes sense since the T3 Ultra employed the Dimensity 9200+. The new device will run Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. vivo T3 Ultra It will allegedly be advertised to come with a lot of AI features like AI Image Studio, AI Erase 2.0, and Live Cutout. According to a previous report, the T4 Ultra has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with "1.5K" resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera using Sony's IMX921 sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera, 8GB of RAM, and support for 90W wired charging. vivo T4 5G vivo T4x vivo T3 Ultra Source

Vivo T4 Ultra tipped to launch in June, key specs and features leaked
The fourth addition to Vivo's T4 series, dubbed the Vivo T4 Ultra, is expected to launch in June, if a new leak is to be believed. According to tipster Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter), with inputs from Digit, the Vivo T4 Ultra, successor to last year's T3 Ultra, is expected to launch in the early part of June. Considering the phone does launch as per the leaked information, it will be arriving three months earlier than its predecessor, which launched in India last year in September. Source: Yogesh Brar/ X (formerly Twitter) advertisementThe leak details some of the key specs and features of the Vivo T4 Ultra. It looks like the phone is set to receive a bunch of upgrades across the board. For instance, the screen is said to be a 120Hz pOLED panel, with a slight reduction in size compared to last year's model — from 6.78 inches to 6.67 inches. Could we expect to see an even slimmer design on the T4 Ultra, since pOLED panels use a plastic substrate instead of glass, making it lighter and thinner, and leading to a slimmer phone design? Also, how does this affect the battery? Will we see the same-sized battery on the T4 Ultra as the T3 Ultra, i.e., a 5,500mAh unit, or could we see a higher-capacity silicon-carbon battery instead? Only time will tell. However, the leak suggests the charging speeds are going to get a slight bump from 80W on the T3 Ultra to 90W on the T4 leaked specs include the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 series chipset. Considering the T3 Ultra launched with the Dimensity 9200+ chip, the Vivo T4 Ultra could be powered by either the Dimensity 9300+ or the Dimensity 9300 chipset. For those who don't know, the Dimensity 9300+ chipset is an enhanced version of the Dimensity 9300 chip — the same SoC that powered the Vivo X100 Pro in India. In terms of camera specs, the primary camera is said to be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor, carried over from the T3 Ultra. However, the biggest change — if the leak turns out to be true — may come in the form of a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Apart from this, the phone is expected to run Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, out of the now, June is not far away, and so, we'll get to know more about the Vivo T4 Ultra in the coming days. If the T3 Ultra is anything to go by, expect the T4 Ultra to launch at a sub-Rs 30,000 price point.

Vivo might be fixing the biggest complaints about its mid-range phones with this new S30 series duo
Referential image of the Vivo S20 Pro. | Image credit — Vivo Vivo is preparing to launch two new smartphones that could shake up the mid-range segment in China later this year. A new leak has revealed key specs for the upcoming Vivo S30 and S30 Pro mini, and both devices seem to offer an impressive combination of performance, display tech, and camera versatility — especially for their standard Vivo S30 is said to debut with Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which hasn't been officially announced yet. But based on the details so far, it looks like this SoC will be built on TSMC's N4 node and will follow a 1+3+4 CPU core structure — a design that aims to balance efficiency and performance for mainstream users. Meanwhile, the S30 Pro mini could be going in a different direction entirely by opting for either the Dimensity 9300+ or the rumored Dimensity 9400e, two high-end MediaTek chips that have recently been popping up in premium phone a breakdown of the leaked specs for both phones: Image credit — Digital Chat Station on Weibo Vivo S30 Display: 6.67-inch flat panel with '1.5K' resolution Processor: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Camera: Periscope telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor Battery: 6,500 mAh Vivo S30 Pro mini Display: 6.31-inch flat LTPO OLED with '1.5K' resolution (same panel as the X200 Pro mini) Processor: Dimensity 9300+ or Dimensity 9400e Camera: Same periscope telephoto with Sony IMX882 Battery: 6,500 mAh Frame: Metal For context, the Vivo S20 series from earlier this year leaned more toward aesthetic appeal and decent camera setups. But from what we're seeing in this leak, Vivo seems to be targeting users who want something closer to flagship features without paying flagship prices. That would put the S30 series in direct competition with devices like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Honor 100, and Realme 12 Pro+ — all of which have been stepping up their hardware game recently in the mid-range space. If these specs hold up, the S30 and its Pro mini sibling could be two of Vivo's most performance-focused S-series models to date. Public feedback on the S20 series leaned toward mixed impressions — while many users praised the sleek design and selfie-focused features, others felt the performance and battery life didn't quite match expectations for the price. The shift to more power-efficient chipsets, a larger battery, and the addition of a periscope camera suggests Vivo is aiming to correct those shortcomings this time around. If priced right, the S30 lineup could land in a sweet spot for users looking for a more complete mid-range experience.

Realme's battery monster GT 7 series gets official global launch date
The GT 7 will land in IceSense Black and IceSense Blue, while the GT 7T will come in a bold yellow finish. The GT 7 in IceSense Black, IceSense Blue and the GT 7T in yellow. | Image credit – Realme One of the standout features is the IceSense Graphene cooling system, which Realme says offers better heat dissipation than traditional copper setups. According to the brand, it can reduce the chipset temperature by up to 6°C with full 360-degree thermal coverage. Realme has already flipped the switch on the GT 7's official product page – at least in India – but it doesn't show any real specs yet. Still, since these phones are already available in China, we've got a pretty solid idea of what is coming. While there may be a few regional tweaks, the core specs should stay the same. So, what are we looking at? A 6.78-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate, for starters. It is powered by a massive 7,200mAh battery, which is way bigger than what you will find in most phones today. You also get IP69 water and dust resistance, which puts it a step above the usual mid-range durability. On the camera front, expect a 50 MP dual rear setup and a 16 MP front snapper. Under the hood, it will likely be rocking the Dimensity 9300+ chipset, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB or even 1 TB. In China, pricing starts at around $355, but don't be surprised if the global pricing is higher. We will have to wait for the Paris event to know just how much more.
