is an editor of the Southern California/Southwest region, who covers the evolving landscape of LA's food scene.
Sourdough bagel pop-up Mustard's Bagels has found a permanent home. The pop-up from Kyle Glanville (who also founded Go Get Em Tiger) and his brother, Brent, will open in Culver City, in the same location that it has been hosting pop-ups. In an email sent out on August 2, Mustard's announced that it signed a lease on the space and will begin a remodel process. During the build-out process, Mustard's will continue to host pop-ups in Culver every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mustard's has gained a cult-following for its chewy, 72-hour fermented sourdough bagels, baked until the crust is gently blistered. The bagels are available with just cream cheese, or in inventive sandwiches like the Din Tai Fung-inspired Deanna Michelle with Persian cucumber, lemon vinaigrette, and garlic chile oil.
