Makeup lovers slam Dior's $40 lip oil after claiming it left them with 'BURNS'

Makeup lovers have slammed Dior's popular $40 lip oil after claiming it left them with 'burns.' Multiple women have taken to TikTok to express their concern about the designer brand's Addict Lip Glow Oil. The beauty lovers have claimed to have had alarming experiences with the product including discoloration. In one recent clip, content creator Saph shared before and after photos from using the oil - depicting a stark difference. 'It made my lips black, crack, peel, sore, this brought my self esteem so low when it happened to the point I was coloring my lips with pink lip liner. 'My lips haven't been the same, but thank god they've turned back to their some what normal color!' Another woman, posting as Simone Beauty from Texas, stated the 'rumors were true' about the product and it 'burnt the crap out of her lips.' Others also rushed in to share their own experiences as they urged women to 'stop using that Dior lip gloss.' has contacted Dior for comment. Though some of the women called the product a lip gloss, it was in fact the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil that they were using. Lip oil is intended to nourish your lips on a deep level, while glosses are for a surface-level shine. Hundreds of people were shocked by the claims and flooded to the comments with their own alleged experiences. 'Jesus, this is the lip gloss I use and my lips are burned black,' someone shared. 'I did the same, it took two months, omg,' a person wrote. 'My lips still suffering from this, thank god it ain't dark no more,' a user said. Another wrote: 'I had to stop using it cause it did me like this too.' 'Same thing happened to me. I hate it so much. I don't know what to do,' someone admitted, while another said, 'Omg, this happened to me too.' 'Yesss, that Dior lip oil is the devil. I was trying to figure out why my lips kept feeling weird, and I realized it was the oil,' a person revealed. Someone else said: 'This happened to me too. It takes a few weeks to go away.' Others chimed in with their advice on how to wear the lip oil going forward. 'It's OIL, ladies. Put Vaseline on your lips or SPF first, then the oil, and you shouldn't be using it every day anyway. It's not lip gloss, it's lip oil,' a comment advised. 'If you aren't putting SPF on your lips, you are burning them up with oil,' another said. One user wrote from experience, saying: 'Y'all, I got this too and all you need to do is buy some Aquaphor, Vaseline, chapstick, and moisturizing lip balms for about a month and you'll be good.' A lip blush artist joined the mix of comments, arguing that the black color on the women's lips was 'temporary hyperpigmentation caused from the damage of UV rays mixed with the oil.' '[Darker skin will] be the most prone to temporary and permanent hyperpigmentation, especially of the lips, when any sort of skin damage occurs. It's your body's natural trauma response. 'I HIGHLY suggest everyone use SPF-based lip products, but especially after the damage has occurred. It's important even when it's not sunny out!'
