WATCH: Special Olympics Iowa players show their skills at Wells Fargo
DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Wolves teamed up with Special Olympics Iowa to bring some special kids onto the court Saturday night.
As part of Disability Empowerment Night, Special Olympics Iowa hosted a game featuring students from Des Moines' Lincoln and Roosevelt schools.

Students played in two ten-minute periods, during pre-game and half-time, making some pretty impressive shots.
'It gives them an opportunity to play a game that they love in front of people that love watching them play,' said Krista Smith, Director of Unified Programs Iowa. 'It is an opportunity for unified sports to be shown to the greater community.'
Wisconsin pulls away late, Iowa men lose again
The Iowa Wolves showed their support by wearing special jersey's designed by a student at Marion High School. One jersey was up for auction with all proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Iowa.
The Iowa Wolves were certainly inspired by the students, they won 121 to 116.
