Marvel's ‘Thunderbolts*' Gets Disney+ Streaming Release Date
Thunderbolts* — Marvel Studios antihero adventure starring Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan— is coming soon to Disney+.
Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts*, aka The New Avengers, opened in theaters on May 2 and debuted on digital streaming via premium video on demand on July 1.
The official summary for Thunderbolts* reads, 'Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova (Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Stan), Red Guardian (Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) and John Walker (Wyatt Russell).
'After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss), these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it's too late?'
Disney+ announced on YouTube Thursday that Thunderbolts* will begin streaming on the platform on Aug. 27.
Disney+ offers an ad-based Disney+ Basic plan for $9.99 per month, as well as an ad-free Disney+ Premium plan for $15.99 per month or $159.99 per year.
