51 Winners in the 30th Sharjah Educational Excellence Award

In the Distinguished Individuals category, 37 students won the Distinguished Student Award, and one student won the Distinguished Student Award from Special Categories, totaling 38 students. Three teachers were awarded the Distinguished Teacher Award, and one leader won the Distinguished Educational Leader Award. In the Distinguished Supporting Jobs category, two distinguished students won this category, and three parents were awarded the Distinguished Guardian Award. In the Distinguished Institutions category, one nursery and three distinguished schools won. Spreading a culture of excellence On this occasion, Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of SPEA, extended her sincere thanks to the sponsor of this award and supporter of its journey, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Al Hashimi praised the combined efforts of the judging committees and the award's work team, who were keen to establish a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation and empower participants. She congratulated the winners of the 30th edition of the award, who have proven their worth in their journey of excellence and creativity, as they deserved to be celebrated, praised, and honoured. She added that she hopes they will set an ideal example in their pursuit of excellence, continue this journey, and contribute to spreading the culture of excellence in their educational and societal communities. Improving education quality Ali Al Hosani, Director General of SPEA, expressed his thanks and appreciation to all members of the award's working team for their dedicated efforts in making the 30th edition a success. Al Hosani emphasised that the achievements reflect the authority's commitment to a strategic vision that seeks to improve the quality of education, consolidate the concepts of excellence and innovation, and foster positive competitiveness in the educational field. The Director General of the Authority announced the winners of the 30th edition of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence and Distinction, which were won by Chitra Raghavan and Srinivasaraghavan for the Distinguished Educational Leader category. Winners in the Distinguished Teacher category were Saria Abdulrahman Naisha, Sherine Yahya Ramadan Shaldum, and Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Al Bastawi. Winners in the Distinguished Supporting Jobs category were Yasser Muhammad Abdul Muttalib Ibrahim and Walaa Babakra Ahmad Al Mahi. Winners in the Distinguished Parent category were Sandia Muhammad Al Rula Al Zayoudi, Johnish Joseph Joseph, and Naseer Arabi. The Outstanding Student category was won by 37 students from grades 3-12: Ayushkrishnanivasupal, Hamad Saif Sultan Al Aryani, and Versingain from grade 3; Sarha Jawidjawid Khan from grade 4; and the winners were: Sarh Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hosani, Adibzian Subish, Reema Karam Mohammed Al Marsa, and Shivanaduri Satyanarayanaduri from grade 5. In grade 6, the winners were: Issa Abdullah Issa Al Mazmi, Fatima Abdul Aziz, Vishuddhi Shahnitesh Shah, and Madiha Jawadjawid Khan. In grade 7, the winners were: Siddhantsith, Adilishan Abdul Rahman Mohammed, Jaivardhan Manishwani Manish, Saudah Ahmed Al Malik Al Kaabi, and Nilas Saad Naseeb Al Ahbabi. The winners from Grade 8 included: Aisha bint Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shehhi, Suter Partipan Partipankesavan, Aparnaasai Veeraghavan, and Sajini Varadharajan Varadharajanayaswamy. Winners from Grade 9 included: Aditya Rajesh Raghavan, Aditya Anushmurugan, Hamdan Mohammed Ali Al Marzouqi, Sarah bint Saeed bin Mohammed Al Balushi, Alia Hanjomnawaz, Ahd Saeed Saifalili, and Ivana Elizavinoj. Winners from Grade 10 included: Saif Omar Mohsen Al Harsh, Reeman Abdullah Ibrahim Shamsuddin, Hafeez Faisal Laidat, and Hani Hammad Davana Salim. Winners from Grade 11 included: Sagrikameetapantamitkumar, Omar Afrosiaho, Mariam Hassan Rashid Al Ghafri, and Chloe Claudinjohil. In the twelfth grade, Shamsa Ali Obaid Al Naqbi won. Maid Arif Al Minoon Al Zaabi won the Outstanding Student - Special Classes category. In the Outstanding Institutions category, Suhaila Nursery took first place in the Outstanding Nursery category, Al Nahyaniya School won first place in the Outstanding School category, Al Hijrah Second Cycle Girls School took second place, and Al Manar Second Cycle Girls Model School took second place. Promoting excellence values Alia Al Hosani, Director of Sharjah Educational Excellence Award, spoke about the award's pioneering role in spreading and promoting the values of excellence, creativity, and innovation in the educational field and the local community. It dedicates efforts to promoting the best innovative experiences and practices, attracting creative talents to create distinguished role models in the educational field, across all categories, both individuals and institutions, contributing to the achievement of leadership goals of development, excellence, and creativity in various fields. Al Hosani emphasised the award's commitment, in each edition, to supporting distinguished individuals, enhancing and improving their participation, updating evaluation criteria, and adhering to transparency, objectivity, and integrity. This significantly contributes to participants' conscious understanding of the award's criteria and conditions, and providing high-quality entries. Al Hosani noted the small number of disqualified entries during the initial screening phase, which represents a point of distinction that reflects the award's success in spreading a culture of excellence in accordance with the standards it adopts and strives to achieve. Al hosani added that Sharjah Educational Excellence Award is proud of the winners of the 30th edition and congratulates them on this brilliance and distinction, calling for more participation. She also called The educational field and the local community, to move forward in adopting and promoting a culture of excellence and supporting distinguished and creative individuals in various fields and areas."

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has officially opened applications for its 2025 Local and GCC Educational Awards. The prestigious awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions in the education sector and foster innovation at both local and regional levels. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the foundation, highlighted the significance of these awards in advancing educational excellence. 'Honouring teachers, educators, students, and institutions enhances school performance, improves education quality, and drives sustainable development,' he stated, encouraging innovative and leadership-driven submissions. The foundation's local awards include the Distinguished Student Award and the Distinguished Undergraduate University Student Award, celebrating academic and extracurricular excellence. The Distinguished School Award recognizes institutions that achieve remarkable academic results while implementing innovative governance practices. The Distinguished Teacher Award honours educators who exceed traditional teaching methods, while the Distinguished Educator Award acknowledges professionals pioneering sustainable educational methodologies. Additionally, the Education Supporting Institutions Award is dedicated to government and private entities contributing significantly to UAE education. At the GCC level, the foundation extends its awards to recognize educational innovation across the region. The Distinguished Student Award and Distinguished Teacher Award commend exceptional academic and teaching contributions, while the Distinguished Educator Award celebrates leaders enhancing educational systems. The Distinguished School Award honours institutions implementing cutting-edge academic standards. Applications will remain open until July 15, 2025. To support candidates, the foundation will conduct workshops from February to July 2025, guiding participants through the criteria and application process. Evaluations, including interviews and virtual visits, will take place between September and October 2025.
