Wasserhund Brewing Co. plans Norfolk location in former District Apizza space
Wasserhund Brewing Co. is coming to Norfolk.
The Virginia Beach brewery plans to open a location in the former District Apizza space on Granby Street in Norfolk's Railroad District this fall, according to a social media announcement.
'We're bringing our signature brews, artisan eats and a retro arcade twist to the Railroad District,' the announcement on Facebook reads.
On Thursday, Wasserhund will apply for a conditional use permit before the Norfolk Planning Commission. The application calls for a 7,200-square-foot brewery and restaurant with arcade games and around 150 seats.
Wasserhund currently has a Virginia Beach location in Hilltop and a Chesapeake location in Summit Pointe. It serves up German-inspired brews and a pizza-centric menu.
District Apizza closed in 2024 after just 11 months of business.
