South Range standout commits to local powerhouse Mount Union
CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – South Range standout lineman Luke Starkey announced his commitment to Mount Union to continue his academic and athletic career.
He made the announcement on social media Friday evening.
The Raiders star piled up 137 tackles, 37 for loss, with 8 sacks on defense during a stellar senior season.
For his efforts, Starkey was named the Division V Defensive Player of the Year and to the WKBN Big 22 list. He was also a part of the 2022 State Championship team as well.
He will join the 13-time Division III national championship Mount Union football program that most recently achieved its eighth consecutive undefeated regular season in 2024.
