Bahrain recently witnessed the release of Blaze: A Son's Trial by Fire, a profoundly moving memoir by Nidhi Poddar and Sushil Poddar. The book chronicles the decade-long battle their only son, Divyansh, fought against leukaemia — a journey that tested their resilience, strength, and unwavering love as parents. Blaze is not just a cancer story; it is an unflinching account of how the disease impacts the patient and an entire family. It delves into the pain, helplessness, and moments of despair yet highlights the triumph of the human spirit, self-discovery, and courage in the face of adversity. Nidhi Poddar shares how they navigated their son's illness after he was diagnosed at the age of 12, turning every challenge into a testament of hope and endurance.
