Woman, 60, dies in two-vehicle crash in Kent County
A 60-year old woman from Dixon Point, N.B., a community north of Moncton, died in a two-vehicle crash on Friday. The RCMP responded to the crash on Route 535 in Dixon Point just after 1 p.m. Police say in a media release that it is believed the woman died when her motorcycle crossed the centre of the road and struck an oncoming car. The woman died at the scene, police say. The driver of the car was injured and taken to hospital, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening. Route 535 was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Police say an investigation is underway.

Woman, 60, dies in crash in Dixon Point, N.B.: RCMP

Richibucto RCMP said officers responded to the two-vehicle crash Friday around 1:15 p.m. It happened on Route 535. Police said the collision is believed to have occurred when a motorcycle travelling northbound crossed the centre line and struck the oncoming car. The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old Dixon Point woman, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver of the car was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Route 535 was shut down for several hours while police investigated. Members of the Bouctouche Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and the New Brunswick Coroner's Office attended the scene. RCMP said the investigation is ongoing.
