Officials ask public for help after 11 dogs seized from alleged Lansing breeder
LANSING — Animal control officers on Aug. 19 seized nearly a dozen dogs from a residence in the 1400 block of Hillcrest Street in an apparent animal neglect or abuse investigation.
"Officers requested a search warrant after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen who had obtained a dog from an alleged dog breeder and was concerned about the medical conditions of the dogs inside the home," Ingham County Animal Control officials said in a news release.
Eleven dogs were taken to the county shelter in Mason, where they are being evaluated, officials said.
