Dave Bautista's Dogbone Entertainment & Titan1Studios Ready ‘Cat Assassin' Universe
Dave Bautista's Dogbone Entertainment is chasing a Cat Assassin. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Dune actor's company has partnered with Canada's Titan1Studios to develop Steve Lerner's Cat Assassin into a franchise spanning animated series, video games and publishing initiatives. Annapurna Interactive published both. Bautista will have creative input into the franchise through Dogbone. Cat Assassin is set in a gritty neo-noir world inhabited by anthropomorphized cats and centers on Hugh, a highly skilled assassin caught between various cartels and power brokers in a dark and twisted city. Producers say it 'promises a unique blend of humor, action, and stealth.' Titan1Studios is already 'well underway' with a stealth action video game inspired by the immersive gameplay of Assassin's Creed, the tactical espionage of Splinter Cell, the immersive feline agility of Stray and the fluid combat of Sifu. The tone of the game will 'set the tone for the expansive universe that will soon follow.' Further details on the animated series, feature film, publishing partners and more video game titles will follow 'in coming months.' Dogbone, established in 2022, was set up as a full-service TV and film producer. It recently wrapped on Prime Video's Eternal City and Lionsgate's The Killer's Game and is working on upcoming Amazon feature Wrecking Crew. Titan1Studios has bases in Calgary and Toronto has a slate including an animated adaptation of the Zomben comic series, produced with The Last Airbender studio Rideback Entertainment, and investigative drama series Sandcastle with Lionsgate Canada. Dave Bautista to Star in Dystopian Sci-Fi Thriller "Dreadnought"
Yara Sameh Dave Bautista (Guardians Of The Galaxy, Dune) is set to reunite with his "Bushwick" directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott in the dystopian thriller "Dreadnought". Penned by Joseph Greenberg, the movie follows Max (Bautista), whose world was devastated when an alien species crash-landed on Earth, unleashing a deadly plague that claimed his wife and much of humanity. The movie's official logline reads: "In the fragile society that remains, humans have learned to coexist with their extraterrestrial invaders. But for Max, survival isn't enough, his older daughter, Greta, is dying from the disease. As her body weakens, an alien Sentinel lurks outside their home, drawing nearer and nearer as Greta takes her final breaths. This silent, unyielding predator is on a mission to collect her body to fulfill an unstoppable metamorphosis ritual. The government sanctions it. Society accepts it. But Max refuses to have anything else taken from him.' Producers include Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road (John Wick franchise), Jason Ross Jallet, Andrew Bronfman, and Jonathan Bronfman of Beyond The Frame (Bride Hard), Dave Bautista and Ashley Daniels of Dogbone Entertainment (Trap House), with executive producer Noah Segal of Elevation Pictures (Infinity Pool). Marz VFX (The Creator) will oversee the visual effects. WME Independent is launching sales ahead of the EFM in Berlin.
