Third annual Doggy Easter Egg Hunt underway at Paws and Pints
DES MOINES, Iowa — Rain or shine, Paws and Pints is hosting its third annual Doggy Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. The event is for humans and their best friends to both enjoy. They will have brunch available for people between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The brunch consists of mimosas and a waffle bar. The egg hunt will start between noon and 1 p.m. There will be plenty of kongs, or dog toys that resemble the shape of an egg, hidden for the pups to find. Each kong is marked with a number that is associated with a prize. Examples of prizes include treats and even a lifetime membership at Paws and Pints. The Easter Bunny will also make a stop at the party. The event normally takes place in the 3.5 acre backyard. However, because of the rain, all of the kongs will be hidden in their turf area. Paws and Pints has vaccination requirements for all dogs. For more information on these requirements, click here. The Doggy Easter Egg Hunt kicks off a string of summer events at Paws and Pints. BAZETTA, Ohio (WKBN) — Pups and their owners got to enjoy some Easter fun on Sunday. The Friends of Mosquito Lake Dog Park hosted their third annual Doggy Easter Egg Hunt. 90 dogs were signed up across two sessions Sunday morning and afternoon. Organizers scattered over 3,000 eggs around the park filled with treats and tickets to win prizes. 'This is just so dogs have something to enjoy Easter with. Like the Easter egg hunts for the kids, we decided to have an Easter egg hunt for the dogs,' said Ugo Scarnecchia with Friends of Mosquito Lake Dog Park. 'We had an excellent time, everybody here is very friendly. The dogs are well-behaved, we just had a super time,' said attendee Susan DeCaro with her dog Pepper. The pups also got to pose for photos with the Easter Bunny. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
