Ration shops restored as MDU system faulty
Ongole: Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy emphasised that the primary objective of the state government is to provide ration transparently to the poor without any difficulties or scope for criticism in the distribution process. On Sunday, Minister DSBV Swamy, along with Ongole Mayor Gangada Sujatha, Joint Collector R Gopala Krishna, and RDO Lakshmi Prasanna, relaunched the distribution of essential commodities through ration shops at Turpu Naayudu Palem of Kondapi assembly constituency. Speaking at the event, the minister explained that the previous government's mobile distribution unit system caused inconvenience to cardholders, as vehicles would stop at random street locations instead of reaching homes, leaving beneficiaries uncertain about vehicle arrival times. The coalition government restored ration shops after coming to power. He announced that the essential commodities will be available through ration shops from the 1st to the 15th of every month, operating from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. He explained that statewide, there are 1.46 crore ration cards, with Prakasam district having 6,61,206 cards. Kondapi constituency has 92,257 cards, while this particular village has 617 cardholders. QR codes have been installed at every ration shop to enable feedback and complaints from beneficiaries. The programme concluded with the minister performing the foundation stone ceremony and tree plantation for cement roads and side drains worth Rs 2 crore in Turpu Nayudu Palem SC Colony and Old SC Colony.

Thalliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhava, free travel in RTC for women soon: Minister
Kondapi: Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy declared that the coalition government is implementing all promises made to the people during elections. He announced that the Talliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhva, and the free travel in RTC buses for women schemes would be started very soon, while distributing pensions to beneficiaries in a door-to-door campaign. The Minister visited Chilamkuru village in Kondapi constituency's Marripudi mandal on Saturday as part of the 'Pedala Sevalo' government programme, personally distributing pensions to elderly citizens, disabled persons, and widows at their homes. Speaking during the event, Minister Swamy said that the NDA coalition is moving forward with capable leadership while fulfilling election commitments. He highlighted several welfare initiatives being implemented as part of election promises, including increased pensions and four free LPG cylinders. He explained that the free bus travel for women and the Annadaata Sukhibhava program, offering Rs 20000 combined with central government contributions, are to be implemented very soon. Under the Talliki Vandanam scheme, Swamy explained that benefits will be extended to all children in a family based on the number of children. He said that the government plans to sanction houses for all eligible beneficiaries, with SC and BC beneficiaries receiving Rs 3.00 lakh, ST beneficiaries Rs 3.25lakh, and OC beneficiaries Rs 2.50 lakh for house construction. The Minister said that the state government is spending Rs 2,718 crores on pensions statewide. In Prakasam district, Rs 124 crores are being spent, while Kondapi constituency accounts for Rs 18.19 crores, as Marripudi mandal receives Rs 2.38 crores, and Chilankuru village alone receives Rs 10.06 lakh in pension payments. The Minister reaffirmed the state government's commitment to public welfare and development, stating that welfare programs are being implemented at full scale across the state. RDO Keshavardhan Reddy, District Social Welfare Officer Lakshmanaayak, SC Corporation ED ArjunNaik, MPDO Jagadeeshwar Rao, Tahsildar Jwala Narasimha Rao, other officials, and local public representatives attended the programme.

Andhra Pradesh social welfare minister distributes Rs 35 lakh CMRF aid, slams Jagan over planned Podili visit
ONGOLE: Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy on Sunday handed over cheques amounting to Rs 35 lakh of Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) to 49 beneficiaries from the Kondapi Assembly segment at his Turpu Naidupalem camp office. The minister interacted with beneficiaries' families, enquired about their health and treatment progress, and wished them a speedy recovery. He stated, 'Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has saved many lives through the CMRF. The TDP-led NDA government is committed to the welfare and health of the poor.' Dola emphasised that the State government prioritises the welfare of marginalised communities. 'Our government is a poor man's government. We will implement the Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) scheme for all senior citizens aged 70 and above, offering free health services worth up to Rs 5 lakh,' he added. Dola slammed the YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over his visit to Podili on May 28 as part of the 'Porubata' programme demanding fair prices for tobacco farmers.

Tiranga rally held in Kondapi
Kondapi: Minister for Social Welfare Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy lauded the fighting spirit shown by Indian soldiers following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The minister, along with the AP Maritime Board chairman Damacharla Sathya, participated in the 'Tiranga Rally' held in Kondapi on Monday, celebrating Operation Sindoor by the Indian armed forces. The rally, which featured a large national flag, proceeded from the Government Building Complex to the Sitarama Kalyana Mandapam. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Swamy described terrorism as a global calamity that must be suppressed. He noted that in response to the terrorist attack on Indian citizens in Pahalgam, the Indian Army completed Operation Sindoor under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The minister emphasised that the entire nation takes pride in the fighting spirit demonstrated by the country's soldiers during the operation. The minister also assured that the state government is providing full support to the family of brave jawan Murali Nayak from Anantapur district, who lost his life in the conflict.

Tiranga rally held at Kondapi to celebrate Operation Sindoor success
In honour of the success of 'Operation Sindoor,' a Tiranga rally was taken out at Kondapi village in Prakasam district on Monday. Led by Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Maritime Board Chairman Damacharla Satyanarayana, the national flag was carried by the people from the Government Building Complex to Sitarama Kalyanamandapam on Monday morning. Speaking at the event, Mr. Veeranjaneya Swamy said, 'The Indian Army successfully completed Operation Sindoor. Terrorism is a menace, and it must be suppressed. The state government has extended all possible support to the family of soldier Murali Naik from Anantapur district, who died in the war.' Cases withdrawn Addressing a Mini Mahanadu in the same village, the Minister said, 'The sacrifices of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers are priceless. We have withdrawn the illegal cases filed against 41 TDP workers in the constituency by the YSR Congress Party. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh are working for the welfare of the TDP cadre.' Development works On the development works carried out in the region, the minister shared that works worth more than ₹50 crore in Kondapi have been carried out. A proposal of ₹450 crore to set up a drinking water scheme from Ramatheertham to the constituency has been submitted. 'We will construct bypass roads in every panchayat with Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) funds. Pending bills related to CC roads and mini-gokulams will be paid by June,' he said. Additionally, he shared that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), the government is providing free medical facilities worth ₹5 lakh to anyone above 70 years. Additionally, through the WhatsApp governance, several government services can be accessed by the people. 'Public welfare is the top priority of the government,' he added.
