NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk NATO Festival Parade of Nations will take over downtown Norfolk Saturday. WAVY-TV 10 is helping you navigate the roads around the festival. The parade officially starts at 10 a.m., but roads will be closing as early as 6 a.m. The road closures are as follows: On-street parking will be removed 6 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, along the parade route. This includes: Both sides of Granby St. between Plume St. and Charlotte St. Plume St. between Boush St. and Granby St. Eastbound and Westbound Waterside Dr. between St. Paul's Blvd. and Main St. Freemason St. between Boush St. and Monticello Ave. Bank St. between Main St. and Plume St. Northbound and southbound Boush Street between Main Street and Brambleton Avenue 7:30 a.m. – Water St. between Park Ave. and just east of Dominion Tower Parking Garage along with E. Main St. between Union St. and Park Ave. 8-8:30 a.m. – Secure the remainder of the parade route in preparation for step-off and pre-parade entertainment on Waterside Drive. 8:30 a.m. – Parade units line up on Park Ave. between Holt St. and Water St. and on Water St. between Park Ave. and St. Paul's Blvd. 9:40 a.m. – Pre-parade performances on eastbound Waterside Dr. 10 a.m. – Parade step-off onto Waterside Dr. Following the parade, the streets will be reopened as directed by police and should be completely re-opened around noon. NATO Festival Parade to impact traffic in Downtown Norfolk

The video above is from the 2024 Parade of Nations through Downtown Norfolk. NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The annual NATO Festival Parade of Nations returns to Downtown Norfolk this weekend. If you have plans downtown Saturday, here's what you need to know. The NATO Festival Parade of Nations will impact traffic from 6 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. If you're going to the parade, keep an eye out for the WAVY truck and give us a wave! The parade begins at 10 a.m. from Water Street, turns left onto the eastbound lanes of Waterside Drive and continues north in the southbound lanes of Boush Street to Plume Street. It then turns right onto Plume Street and proceeds east to Granby Street. From there, it turns left on Granby Street and travels north to Freemason Street. Click for a map of the parade route. On-street parking will be removed from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 along the Parade Route. The weekend also includes the Virginia International Tattoo.
