Amerks fans cheer on team at the Distillery for playoff watch party
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Cheering on their favorite team, Amerks fans gathered at The Distillery on Mount Hope Avenue in Rochester for a watch party. Amerks went against the Laval Rocket for Game Three of their third-round play off series. The game was live streamed for all to watch featuring the call of Amerks Hall of Fame Broadcaster Don Stevens, who's in his 39th season as the 'Voice of the Amerks.' At The Distillery, a longtime sponsor of the Amerks, fans had the opportunity to win various prizes and giveaways and connect with other Amerks lovers. 'My favorite part is just being surrounded by people who share just as much love and joy as I do for the Amerks,' Caleigh Jeremy said. 'The Amerks are a home hockey team. They put in so much so much effort they put in so much work.' 'It's a long time since we've seen a championship, I have a picture somewhere of me with the Calder Cup, 1996,' Kevin Petrichick said. Rochester Amerks host Kids Day
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – We're staying on the ice as the Amerks hosted their annual Kids Day Game for the fourth year in a row. Sunday at Blue Cross Arena the matinee game featured a total Kids Takeover allowing young fans the opportunity to serve in various game-day roles such as public address announcer, off-ice official, and videographer. One lucky even fan had the chance to join broadcaster Don Stevens to call the day's action from the broadcast booth. News 8 spoke with Amerks officials who say Kids Day is a day they look forward to every year. On top of all the fun on the ice, kids activities took place outside including the Interactive ZooMobile from Seneca Park Zoo. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
