Lady Gaga is stepping into Tim Burton's dark and whimsical world with a brand-new track titled 'Dead Dance', created for the much-anticipated second season of Netflix's 'Wednesday'. The song is set to release next month, aligning with Gaga's on-screen debut as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore Academy teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday to Variety, this long-rumoured collaboration has finally been confirmed, sending fans of both Gaga and the gothic coming-of-age series into a frenzy. With Burton at the helm and Gaga bringing her signature theatrical flair, expectations are at the London premiere of 'Wednesday Season 2', Burton couldn't contain his admiration for Gaga, calling their creative exchange 'inspirational.' Though Gaga herself was absent - currently touring with her Mayhem Ball - her presence was certainly felt. She joins a stellar cast that includes returning stars Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones, alongside newcomers Steve Buscemi and Joanna Lumley. 'Dead Dance' has been co-written and co-produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the powerhouse duo behind Gaga's 'Mayhem' album. With its eerie, electrifying tone, the track is expected to seamlessly blend into Burton's universe, offering a sonic extension of Wednesday's moody on the energy Gaga brought to the set, Burton shared, 'She's such an artist, and so, for me, working with an artist is inspirational.' Mumbai : The trailer of the second season of 'Wednesday 2' has been unveiled. The upcoming season of the Netflix show will follow the Addams family daughter (Jenna Ortega) through a mission to save her roommate, Enid (Emma Myers), from impending doom. Check out the trailer here. Tim Burton's hit series Wednesday is returning with the second season on August 6, 2025. 'Wednesday' was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who also serve as showrunners. The pair executive produces alongside director Tim Burton, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman and Meredith Averill. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson also serve as directors, as per Variety. Along with releasing the teaser, Netflix has set a global press campaign called the "Doom Tour," which will see the "Wednesday" cast and creators promote Season 2 not only in the U.S., but in England, Poland, Italy, France, Romania, Canada, South Korea and Australia.

With the fans highly anticipating the upcoming bunch of episodes, the preview hints at the death of a major character. The season 2 of the popular Netflix series was announced back in 2023, after the antagonist, Laurel Gates, was defeated in the last episode of season 1. However, many questions were left unanswered, providing the audiences with a hope that the new season might resolve them. Meanwhile, the cast and crew of Wednesday will set out on a global press campaign called the Doom Tour. With the initiative, the makers will not only promote season 2 in the U.S., but also in England, Poland, Italy, France, Romania, Canada, South Korea and Australia. Breaking down Wednesday season 2 trailer As for the trailer of the new season of Wednesday, it opens with the Addams family dropping off Jenna Ortega 's character back at the school. When asked how she feels about getting back to the new academic year, Wednesday replies, 'like returning to the scene of a crime.' She also reveals that she 'already knows where the bodies are buried.' Further in the trailer, the audience witnesses Wednesday's face streaked with black tears. Her mother confesses that she knows exactly what the tears mean. 'What did you see?' Ortega's character says, 'Enid dies and it's all my fault.' In the next scene, Wednesday is standing in the graveyard, and the tombstone beside her reads, 'In memory of Enid Sinclair.' A bloody Enid appears and strangles Wednesday while shouting, 'I died because of you!' The scene then cuts to horror flashes and a voiceover that says, 'Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid—or die trying.' As for the cast of the upcoming season of the Netflix show, Ortega will be joined by Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, and Isaac Ordonez.
