Netflix hasn't officially renewed Ransom Canyon for Season 2 just yet, and the decision will likely depend on how well the first season performs on the platform. The promising news? Creator April Blair told Deadline the team is already 'in the room' working on a second season, so there's a good chance the series will be back. Blair also told Tudum that she hopes viewers will want more episodes after watching the Season 1 finale. 'My favorite feeling is when a show ends, and you don't want it to end, and you just want more,' she said. 'It makes you feel warm and familiar, and you don't want to let go. That is how I hope people feel. It's how I feel about the show watching it.' The Ransom Canyon book series includes eight main novels, giving Netflix plenty of source material to pull from if the show is renewed for another season.
