The Post tests Sydney Sweeney's soap made with her bathwater

They were soaked in Sydney. Not the city in Australia, the actress. Sydney Sweeney released a sultry soap made with her used bathwater — and The Post managed to scoop up two samples before the 5,000 bars sold out in less than a minute online Friday. Advertisement The 27-year-old Emmy-nominated star teamed up with the 'natural manly soap' brand Dr. Squatch to create Sydney's Bathwater Bliss. Here's what our 'judges' had to say about the $8 bars: 4 'When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,' Sydney Sweeney said in a news release. Dr Squatch/MEGA Advertisement 'For starters, it is the worst tasting celebrity bathwater-based product I've ever tried,' Post reporter Chris Harris quipped. 'Sadly, it is also the closest I am ever going to get to Sydney's bathtub,' he added. The regular Squatch soap user said he 'thoroughly enjoyed' the soap, which contains exfoliating sand and is infused with notes of pine, Douglas fir and moss. 'Though, it makes me wonder how much of Sydney's bathwater was actually used in making the soap. I hope not too much, as it is a very manly scent,' he said. Advertisement Post features editor Andrew Court also lathered up with it — but would have preferred if it contained the bathwater of Sweeney's 'Euphoria' co-star. 'As a gay man, I'm not exactly the target market for Sydney's Bathwater Bliss. Personally, I'd prefer Jacob Elordi's bathwater,' he said. 4 Andrew Court gave the soap a thumbs up. New York Post However, his straight 32-year-old roommate was elated. Advertisement 'His eyes lit up. 'Is that the Sydney Sweeney soap? I thought it was sold out. How'd you get that?' 'It was as if I'd struck gold,' Court said. 'I've never seen a man so enthused about a personal hygiene product in my entire life.' 4 To create Sydney's Bathwater Bliss, the actress teamed up with the brand Dr. Squatch, which only made 5,000 bars. Dr Squatch/MEGA The roomies proceeded to cut the bar in half so they could both sample Sydney's suds. 'To someone on the outside it must have looked hilarious: Two grown men hovered over the kitchen counter delicately dividing up a small bar of green soap,' the scribe said. Court was captivated by its squeaky clean scent. 4 'Sadly, it is also the closest I am ever going to get to Sydney's bathtub,' Chris Harris quipped. Dr. Squatch Advertisement 'The box . . . says it 'smells like morning wood,' but it actually has the aroma of a fresh pine forest. For a concept that's quite dirty, it smells super clean. 'It's strong, but not overwhelming, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it,' he said, although the price might make him stick with his two-for-$3.99 soap from Trader Joe's. His roomie, meanwhile, gushed, 'I really like the smell, and something about it just feels extra special.'

This bold move follows her previous campaign with Dr. Squatch, where she encouraged men to embrace their masculinity with natural body wash. 'It's weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that's not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible.' According to the brand, Sydney's Bathwater Bliss is infused with exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, and yes, a secret ingredient, a splash of her bathwater. The scent is a blend of pine, Douglas fir, and earthy moss, described as a mix of the great outdoors and, well… Sydney's tub. The natural 'bricc,' as Dr. Squatch calls it, is part of their ongoing campaign to get guys to upgrade their grooming habits with ingredients they can actually pronounce. But this one goes even further. Sydney wanted to give fans something completely unexpected and she delivered. Only 5,000 bars of the soap will be made, making this a true collector's item. Dr. Squatch is launching a giveaway from Thursday, May 29 at 12:00 p.m. EST through Thursday, June 5 at 11:59 p.m. PST, where 100 lucky fans will win a free bar. You can enter via Instagram or on the Dr. Squatch website. The soap officially goes on sale Friday, June 6 at 9 a.m. PT while supplies last. 'There's no playbook for turning Sydney Sweeney's actual bathwater into a bar of soap,' said John Ludeke, SVP of Global Marketing at Dr. Squatch. 'But that's exactly why we did it. This bar is bizarre, unexpected, and meant to get guys thinking more deeply about what they're putting on their bodies.' To take it even further, the brand is launching scented billboard placements in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago that actually smell like the soap because of course they are. Plus, fans can expect meme-worthy content to take over social media in the days ahead. At 27 years old, Sydney is having a major moment. Along with this viral campaign, she's starring in the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller Echo Valley opposite Julianne Moore, and Eden, a survival drama directed by Ron Howard. She's also still riding high from the surprise success of Anyone But You, her rom-com hit with Glen Powell that had fans swooning (and speculating). While this may be one of Dr. Squatch's boldest launches yet, it's not their first celebrity stunt. In 2023, the brand made headlines with its Travis Kelce campaign, encouraging guys to 'get dirty, then get clean the Squatch way.' Since then, they've leaned hard into meme culture and unexpected partnerships making Sydney's bathwater bar on brand. So whether you're into limited-edition collectibles, just really love Sydney or genuinely want a bar of soap that smells like a Pacific Northwest forest with a splash of celebrity bathwater, you might want to check it out. Two Michelin star restaurant partners with cannabis farm for 'bespoke strain'

A two Michelin star restaurant has partnered with a cannabis farm to launched its own strain of cannabis. The establishment Lazy Bear, located in San Francisco, California, has joined forces with Sonoma Hills Farm to introduce a unique cannabis offering dubbed The Lazy Bear Reserve. This exclusive "bespoke" strain is being marketed as a sophisticated "social tonic" for upscale dinner gatherings. David Barzelay, the Executive Chef and Owner of Lazy Bear, along with Chief Operating Officer Colleen Booth, have dedicated three years in collaboration with Sonoma Hills Farm. Their mission? To cultivate the ideal cannabis strain that aligns with their gastronomic principles. Their meticulous process entailed planting, nurturing and rigorously testing thousands of different strains. They were in search of a distinctive one that connected with their culinary philosophy, they shared. They describe the final product as having subtle notes of wild California bay laurel, redwood and Douglas fir. In conversation with The San Francisco Standard, David Barzelay expressed his awareness of the persistent stereotype associated with cannabis, despite its legality in California. He explained: "I think it's because there's this fear, like, 'What will Michelin think about this? Does this erode the dignity of a restaurant that is in many ways quite serious?" However, he clarifies, "We're not saying this is something you should smoke before coming and having dinner at Lazy Bear. The right strain of cannabis is like the salt in your food. It elevates it."
