1 dead after shooting in Downers Grove
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (WGN) – A man was shot and killed Saturday evening in Downers Grove, according to police.
The Downers Grove Police Department said the shooting happened just after 6:50 p.m. in the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive.

The preliminary investigation revealed two men got into an argument with another man when several shots were fired. The victim, a 24-year-old man, was injured and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in critical condition before eventually succumbing to his injuries, according to investigators.
Police determined the people involved in the incident knew each other and that there is no threat to the general public.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
