Huarache sandals to ring in spring break with a fun pattern! These are 100% handmade and woven by Mexican artisans, so each pair is unique! They're *perfect* if you want the comfort of a supportive sneaker, but in a more ~cutesy~ way. They also have a miraculous way of perfectly molding to your feet, meaning you'll spend little to no time breaking them in! A must-have pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals, which have a contoured footbed for that extra arch support, which you'll *really* appreciate two hours into that walking tour. Whether you're wearing a classic pair of denim jeans or your favorite flowy dress that's been hiding in your closet all winter, this laid-back pair is just the thing you need to complete the look. Absurdly cheap yet cute waterproof Chelsea boots because I think we both know you're way past letting some spring showers ruin your trip (or your outfit)! Floral ballet flats with adorable cutouts that aren't just for style, but for breathability! Plus, they're flexible as heck, so you can roll them right up to take on your next sunny getaway! It may not be groundbreaking, but florals for spring just make sense. Or some pointed-toe knit ballet flats that would pair wonderfully with cute linen shorts and a fitted tee while enjoying some gelato in Italy. They have heel rebound, arch support, and are made of breathable fabric that feels like a second skin (they're even machine-washable!). High-top Converse sneakers with a chic platform sole — whether you pair them with your fave pair of jeans or juxtapose them with a dress, they'll have you looking on-trend wherever you go. They're made of eucalyptus fiber to keep the insides nice and breathable, and the flexible fabric is designed to move with your feet. A pair of quick-drying lace-free sneakers you'll be glad you have if your spring break destination will be full of aquatic adventures! Not only will these keep your feet nice and dry, but they're also super breathable, have an anti-slip rubber sole, *and* have a pull tab at the heel that allows you to take them on and off super easily. Or some lightweight Tioseban sneakers because they weigh basically nothing (buh-bye luggage weight fees👋) and are made of breathable mesh that'll keep your precious feet cool and sweat-free. Basically, if you want to combine the freedom of being barefoot with the support of a cushy sole, these are the shoes for you! Snazzy heeled slip-ons if you want something you can easily slip on for a snazzy dinner after taking a much-needed nap at the hotel. These babies have a thick heel for stability as well as soft, thick braided straps to keep your feet in place (because having them slide all over the place can be so annoying!). A pair of lightweight lug sole sandals that are giving *major* early 2000s Lizzie McGuire vibes, which means you're destined to be wearing them in Rome on a Vespa. Yeah... I'm gonna need these in every color (and there's a lot of them). 😍 Or Nisolo flatform sandals, which you'll absolutely love if you're going on a tropical getaway. They've got a lightweight, breathable design that won't let your feet overheat *and* they don't even need a break-in period, so you can toss them into your luggage as soon as they arrive! Sketchers slip-ons that'll let you avoid having to awkwardly stop in the middle of a busy city walkway to crouch down and tie your shoe *again*. With these, you can keep the cute sneaker look sans the pesky laces! Plus, many reviewers say they're super comfy — even if your feet are on the wider side! Or some classic slip-on sneaks — the pretty color options will catch your eye, but the breathable canvas material, padded insole, and stretchy fit are what will capture your heart. 😍 Reviewers also rave about how surprisingly easy they are to pack! Espadrille platform sandals to carry you from the Spanish steps in the morning to the Trevi Fountain in effortless comfort. Plus, reviewers with wide feet love these and say they fit perfectly! Or Dr. Martens platform sandals because they'll practically have you ~floating~ through the streets of a new city. Adjustable buckles? Check. Super lightweight EVA soles? Check. Ripple tread platforms? CHECK. Doc Martens, you've done it again. Splurge-worthy block heel mules that'll ensure you're walking in both comfort *and* style from your first sip of latte in the morning to the moment you fall back onto your hotel bed in the evening. They have a supportive 2-inch cylinder heel, plush foam padding, and an array of stunning colors to choose from. Some sport shoes with a breathable insole, soft lining, and ultralight EVA soles that'll have you walking on air from one landmark to the next. Besides, look at that adorable stitching! Super pretty Toms canvas cutout sandals, because in a world where security and stability are rare a find, you should at least own shoes that give you *both*. This pair's thick straps and chunky heels will keep your feet in place, and will look oh-so-cute on you as you walk from that locals' favorite café to a stroll in the park. Sorel strappy sandals with secure straps and a signature molded EVA footbed that'll have you checking off the landmarks you've got planned for the day *without* the dreaded aches and pains. Plus, those groovy scalloped soles will give you some extra height *and* give you some extra style points. Mesh sneakers made with knitted mesh material to keep your feet dry and cool. Plus, its comfy insole is designed with a honeycomb patter to keep your feet balanced and strain-free. Reviewers have run 5ks, hiked for miles, and stood for up to 18 hours in these bad boys without feeling any pain! Sleek leather loafers that reviewers rave about for their ~buttery~ leather and non-slip soles. They are so classically simple, you have the freedom to dress them up with a cute dress for dinner or dress them down with your fave pair of jeans for a touristy day with the fam! Or very affordable pointy-toe loafers, which reviewers love because they don't require breaking in. And if you're in an unpredictable "hot, then cold, then hot again" climate, their closed-toe, open-top design makes them extra ideal. One reviewer even said they preferred these over their Gucci pair! Platform sandals that are basically what happens when comfy sandals and stylish heels have a baby. They've got cushioned insoles, adjustable ankle straps, and ridged soles that'll give you peak stability while you sightsee in ~style~. Adorable Swedish wooden clogs, which you'll fall *head over heels* for. But don't worry, you won't actually fall — this super lightweight pair gives you a little extra height, but also has a sturdy strap for that extra support! Beautiful Greek gladiator-inspired sandals that are made of 100% genuine leather and have a lightweight sole that'll allow you many more miles of strolling than your typical sandal.

The 11 best walking sandals for women that are perfect for summer travel
Best overall: Vivaia Sport Sandals I own a pair of boots by Vivaia and they're easily one of the comfiest pairs I've ever slipped on my feet — so, needless to say, I had high expectations for these sandals. Fortunately, they didn't disappoint. By the way — Vivaia has made our list of the best travel shoes, most comfortable heels, best flats, best loafers for women, best ankle boots, and best knee-high boots. They have lots of cushioning. My first few steps in the Vivaia Sport Sandals felt like walking on a cloud. That's likely due to the cushioned insole, and dual arch support. I feel secure wearing these. Thanks to the durable, anti-slip outsole, these sandals feel ultra-stable on my feet regardless of what kind of ground I'm walking in. They're super adjustable. What I really appreciate about these sandals most is that the criss-cross straps across the foot are extra stretchy. That means whether you have narrow or wide feet, these will git like a glove. Not only that, but the ankle strap has an adjustable buckle. Plus, the style I have — the Kara — comes in 10 different colors, from classic neutrals like grey and black to fun, playful hues like salmon pink and lime green. Best budget: Dr. Scholl's Island Glow Dr. Scholl's is known for making shoes that prioritize comfort — after all, the brand was founded by a podiatrist back in 1906. The Island Glow Sandals in particular are a solid pick for warding off discomfort during your travels — not to mention, they're incredibly lightweight. It's so easy to pull them on and off. The side buckles on these sandals confused me at first, but then I realized they were nonfunctional. Honestly, the faux buckle still looks nice and I actually prefer the Velcro strap closure, because they're much faster to put on and take off this way. They're surprisingly cute. I got a few compliments when I was wearing these sandals to a casual family gathering. I wasn't surprised, either: They look like real leather, and the wood—like low wedge heel is a nice visual touch. They're really versatile. These sandals go with literally everything, from jean shorts and flowy skirts to leggings and maxi dresses. They're versatile enough that I can wear them while sightseeing and then head straight to lunch at a nice restaurant with no footwear changes. They're very supportive. Between the contoured footbed and cushioned insole with arch support, these sandals definitely prevented discomfort — even after standing and walking around in them for nearly six hours. Best waterproof: OOFOS Oomega Ooahh Sandal Oofos makes post-workout recovery shoes — which are obviously popular among athletes, but also a great fit for anyone who spends long hours on their feet. In our Oofos review, Deputy Editor Les Shu said wearing their shoes feels like "walking on air." I have to agree. These sandals are a great pick for beach and resort getaways because they're waterproof. On the hunt for the best sandals for Disney World? Look no further. The slip-on design is so convenient. I love a pair of slides while traveling because I can't be bothered taking extra time fasting or lacing up shoes when I have places to be. Because these slip on and off so easily — and are water-resistant — they're great for waterparks, or just hanging by the pool at your hotel. They take a lot of pressure off my feet. Oofos shoes are designed to absorb 37% more impact than other shoes, taking stress off my joints while supporting the natural arch of my foot. The foam material feels bouncy but firm. I love that the footbed flares out at the widest part of my foot, and I swear my posture seems better when I'm walking in these. Did I mention these shoes are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA)? There's literally no risk in trying them. I love that you can try Oofos sandals risk-free for 30 days. So, even if you bring them on a trip with you and wear them all day long, if you're not 100% satisfied with your experience, you can send them back for a refund at no cost. Best day-to-night: Crocs Brooklyn Heel This lightweight mule made our list of the most comfortable heels for it's lightweight design and highly walkable construction. Style editor Samantha Crozier, who tested over 80 pairs of heels for the article, counts these as one of her absolute favorites. " Crocs' Brooklyn Heel (also available in a frosted version) might be the heel that I wear the most often, which is saying something. These are the absolute best everyday shoes I could ask for. They slip right on and pair with everything from a pair of denim cut-offs to a semi-formal maxi dress," she says. Here's why we love it. You can go straight from a walking tour to dinner and drinks. The silhouette is incredibly versatile, and you can't tell from afar that these are, in fact, made of the same foamy rubber as crocs. If you don't look too closely, they could easily be made of suede or leather. It's almost a full three-inches tall, which is perfect for adding some height — though they don't feel that tall at all. These are a great pair to throw on with a pair of pants that are a little too long. They're also budget-friendly. The Brooklyn Heel is normally $65, but you can often find it for lower. We recommend checking all the links above for the best price. Best arch support: Vionic Walk Max Wanderer If you're not familiar with Vionic, this brand has landed on Oprah's Favorite Things List multiple times — and many of their shoes carry the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance. Their shoes are a go-to for many travelers because they're not only comfortable but also stylish. This pair is no exception. They fit like a dream. The footbed on these Walk Max Wanderer Sandals feels like it was custom molded to my foot. I credit the adjustable straps and VIO MOTION Technology, which includes contoured arch support. Note: These sandals seem like they're ideal for someone with an average/medium to high arch (rather than flatter feet) They're super comfy even on hard surfaces. Typically, walking on concrete and gravel for long hours can take quite a toll on my feet. Luckily, these sandals provide shock-absorbing cushioning, excellent traction, and a deep heel cup to ensure stability to keep my feet happy. They also feature a lightweight nitrogen-infused midsole with maximum rebound. It almost felt like I was getting a foot massage while I was walking in these. The straps are so soft. Straps can actually be a nuisance on sandals, depending on what fabric they're made out of. These have a cushioned feel, so they felt really nice against my skin. The straps — along with the heel tab — also make these a cinch to get on and off. Best leather: UGG Goldenstar Villa Sandals True story: When I first put these sandals on, I actually "oohed" out loud. UGG has come through for me time and again, particularly in the boot department, but these Goldenstar Villa Sandals truly blew me away. The lining is so soft. One feature that makes these sandals extra comfortable is the velvety soft material lining the heel, footbed, and strap across the toes. It feels way better than stiff leather on my skin and goes a long way in preventing blisters on the back of my heel. It's all in the details. The gleaming buckles on these may take an extra few seconds to fasten, but I don't mind since they're such a beautiful, eye-catching accent. I love the overstitched binding and box stitch details, too. A pull-on heel tab adds to the convenience factor, and the combo of Nubuck and genuine leather makes these look — and feel — extra refined. They're practical to walk in for long periods. Thanks to the flatform design with a reasonable height, and contoured footbed, I had no trouble wearing these for long periods. I plan to bring these on urban getaways where I'll be doing a lot of exploring downtown — plus, as an added perk, they're stylish enough that I can get away with wearing them out at night. Most stylish: Sorel Rein CB Criss-Cross Sandal Sorel has long been one of my go-to brands for rugged but on-trend shoes — particularly boots. This is my first pair of sandals by the brand, and I was so impressed by how comfortable they are without sacrificing style. They look so chic. Walking sandals aren't necessarily known for being stylish, but these defy all stereotypes. The criss-cross leather straps, metal D-ring, and lugged platform sole give these leather sandals an edgy but timeless look. They're also surprisingly comfortable. Wearing these felt like walking around in slippers. Admittedly, I was a little worried that the leather straps would feel tight — particularly because I have pretty wide feet — but that wasn't an issue whatsoever. They almost seemed to stretch, accommodating my feet perfectly, with wear. I tend to get blisters on the back of my heel from straps that wrap all the way around the back of the ankle but that didn't happen with these, either. I love the molded midsole and cushy footbed, and the flatform style and modest 1.5-inch heel height made these super reasonable for long walks. The sole is clearly durable. The lightweight but sturdy rubber soles on these made my feet feel supported on a range of terrain, from soft grass and soil to solid concrete. Best for hiking: Teva Verra Hiking Sandals When looking for hiking sandals to wear on your future adventures, you want not only a supportive fit but also superior traction that can handle various terrains. The Teva Verra Hiking Sandals fit the bill. They're also way cuter than most hiking sandals I've seen. The fit is just right. The hook-and-loop closure on these sandals allows you to tighten or loosen as needed so the fit is flawless. Plus, the ankle strap is adjustable. They're a breeze to pull on and off. Due to the pull-tab on the heel and velcro straps, I can put these sandals on or take them off in less than five seconds. Also worth mentioning? There's a soft felt-like lining on the inside of the heel and ankle strap, which felt so nice against my skin. The footbed design is so thoughtful. I couldn't help but notice the way the footbed gets narrower or wider exactly where it should, molding to my foot. I also have to say the contoured midsole lends some serious arch support. They provide plenty of stability. Teva really has thought of everything here: There's a cushioned impact-absorbing heel, a nylon shank designed to stabilize my feet on uneven terrain, and a rugged rubber outsole that offers impressive traction for light hikes. Best flip-flop: FitFlop F-MODE Knot Soft Leather Flatform Toe Post Sandals I absolutely love the ease and simplicity of flip-flops. Unfortunately, I've never found a pair that's very practical, especially for longer walks — that is, until I tried these beauties from FitFlop. They're really well-made. These sandals are crafted in luxurious, buttery Nappa leather, with a chunky yet lightweight sole and a sculptural knotted strap for a visually appealing twist. Even the footbeds are made with leather, and the soles are wrapped in premium leather as well. They're the kind of flip-flops you can proudly wear while traversing the streets of a sophisticated district in Greece or Italy. And since there's some decent grip on the bottom, I can wear them worry-free on country paths and light trails. They're comfortable for long hours. I love a flatform because you get a nice lift without all the aching that typically comes with a heel. These sandals are also ergonomically designed to optimize the body's natural alignment, made with a pressure-diffusing midsole, and feature triple-density cushioning that varies at different parts of the foot — with firmer cushioning at the heel, medium cushioning at the toes, and softer cushioning at the middle. By helping to absorb impact, the cushioning system helps reduce muscle exertion. My feet felt great after spending an entire afternoon walking around in these, which explains why they were granted the APMA Seal of Acceptance. Thicker straps mean they don't dig in. One of my pet peeves on sandals is skinny straps that dig into my skin — luckily, the straps on these are thicker, and surprisingly flexible considering they're leather. Most versatile: REEF Vista Higher Raya If you're looking for a travel sandal that can work for a variety of situations, the REEF Vista Higher Raya is a no-brainer. They're supremely comfy. The pillow-like padded straps on these sandals don't feel stiff, and never dig into my skin. The adjustable hook-and-loop closure allows me to get a perfect fit every time, and the compression-molded outsole and cushy footbed were a godsend have been a godsend when I'm on my feet for long hours. They can be dressed up or down. I'd slip these on to do some shopping or sightseeing — but also for a dinner out. The 2.5-inch ridged platform and faux leather straps make them feel a bit dressier than most other walking sandals, but they're also casual enough to wear for daytime adventures. They're water-resistant. Since they're made from a water-friendly material, these are a great option for beach days and poolside lounging. Best lightweight: Bared Footwear Sanderlings Rubber Sandals Bared Footwear stands out for several reasons — for one, it was founded by a podiatrist. The company also makes big sustainability efforts, and sources responsible materials. These 100% vegan sandals have a sleek look but are also thoughtfully designed to offer all-day support. They even come packaged in an adorable terrycloth carrying case, that I plan to use as a toiletry bag while traveling. They're easy to clean. These sandals are made from a natural rubber blend, and they couldn't possibly be easier to wipe down. When I got some dirt on them, I was able to wipe it away in seconds with a damp cloth. They're adjustable all around. Both the buckle across the foot and the ankle strap are adjustable, allowing for a custom fit. They're water-resistant. Because these won't get damaged from water exposure, I can wear them to water parks, beaches, and swimming pools. Plus, they're cute enough that I don't have to change my shoes when I want to head straight to drinks or lunch after. I don't have to compromise on comfort. The low wedge style on these sandals makes them one of the most versatile pairs I've ever tested. Like all of Bared Footwear's other shoes, these are designed with the brand's signature contoured and cushioned biomechanical footbed, which boasts an arch shape designed to minimize pressure on the heel, and a heel cup that offers unparalleled support. Typically, sandals with a strap across the toes tend to pinch since that's the widest part of my foot, but thankfully that was not the case with these sandals.

3 Reasons to Avoid CAL and 1 Stock to Buy Instead
Caleres has gotten torched over the last six months - since October 2024, its stock price has dropped 47.5% to $16.64 per share. This was partly driven by its softer quarterly results and may have investors wondering how to approach the situation. Is now the time to buy Caleres, or should you be careful about including it in your portfolio? Check out our in-depth research report to see what our analysts have to say, it's free. Even though the stock has become cheaper, we're swiping left on Caleres for now. Here are three reasons why CAL doesn't excite us and a stock we'd rather own. The owner of Dr. Scholl's, Caleres (NYSE:CAL) is a footwear company offering a range of styles. A company's long-term sales performance is one signal of its overall quality. Any business can put up a good quarter or two, but the best consistently grow over the long haul. Caleres's demand was weak over the last five years as its sales fell at a 1.4% annual rate. This wasn't a great result and signals it's a low quality business. Forecasted revenues by Wall Street analysts signal a company's potential. Predictions may not always be accurate, but accelerating growth typically boosts valuation multiples and stock prices while slowing growth does the opposite. Over the next 12 months, sell-side analysts expect Caleres's revenue to stall. While this projection implies its newer products and services will spur better top-line performance, it is still below average for the sector. Growth gives us insight into a company's long-term potential, but how capital-efficient was that growth? Enter ROIC, a metric showing how much operating profit a company generates relative to the money it has raised (debt and equity). Caleres historically did a mediocre job investing in profitable growth initiatives. Its five-year average ROIC was 2.4%, lower than the typical cost of capital (how much it costs to raise money) for consumer discretionary companies. We see the value of companies helping consumers, but in the case of Caleres, we're out. Following the recent decline, the stock trades at 5.4× forward price-to-earnings (or $16.64 per share). While this valuation is optically cheap, the potential downside is huge given its shaky fundamentals. There are superior stocks to buy right now. Let us point you toward a safe-and-steady industrials business benefiting from an upgrade cycle. The market surged in 2024 and reached record highs after Donald Trump's presidential victory in November, but questions about new economic policies are adding much uncertainty for 2025. While the crowd speculates what might happen next, we're homing in on the companies that can succeed regardless of the political or macroeconomic environment. Put yourself in the driver's seat and build a durable portfolio by checking out our Top 6 Stocks for this week. This is a curated list of our High Quality stocks that have generated a market-beating return of 175% over the last five years. Caleres (NYSE:CAL) Reports Sales Below Analyst Estimates In Q4 Earnings
Footwear company Caleres (NYSE:CAL) missed Wall Street's revenue expectations in Q4 CY2024, with sales falling 8.3% year on year to $639.2 million. Next quarter's revenue guidance of $622.9 million underwhelmed, coming in 4.5% below analysts' estimates. Its GAAP profit of $0.15 per share was 68.7% below analysts' consensus estimates. Is now the time to buy Caleres? Find out in our full research report. Revenue: $639.2 million vs analyst estimates of $646 million (8.3% year-on-year decline, 1.1% miss) EPS (GAAP): $0.15 vs analyst expectations of $0.48 (68.7% miss partly due to a one-time restructuring charge) Adjusted EBITDA: $29 million vs analyst estimates of $30.48 million (4.5% margin, 4.9% miss) Revenue Guidance for Q1 CY2025 is $622.9 million at the midpoint, below analyst estimates of $652.5 million EPS (GAAP) guidance for the upcoming financial year 2025 is $3 at the midpoint, beating analyst estimates by 11.1% Operating Margin: 1.2%, down from 4.4% in the same quarter last year Free Cash Flow Margin: 2.7%, down from 4.6% in the same quarter last year Market Capitalization: $551.2 million 'Our fourth quarter earnings were at the high end of our most recent guidance. We gained market share in women's fashion footwear, our Lead Brands outperformed, and we grew our sneaker penetration. Famous Footwear's business softened in the quarter, but we maximized key selling periods. We invested to support our long-term growth while continuing to evolve our supply chain and further mitigate the impact of additional tariffs,' said Jay Schmidt, president and chief executive officer. The owner of Dr. Scholl's, Caleres (NYSE:CAL) is a footwear company offering a range of styles. Before the advent of the internet, styles changed, but consumers mainly bought shoes by visiting local brick-and-mortar shoe, department, and specialty stores. Today, not only do styles change more frequently as fads travel through social media and the internet but consumers are also shifting the way they buy their goods, favoring omnichannel and e-commerce experiences. Some footwear companies have made concerted efforts to adapt while those who are slower to move may fall behind. A company's long-term sales performance can indicate its overall quality. Any business can put up a good quarter or two, but many enduring ones grow for years. Caleres's demand was weak over the last five years as its sales fell at a 1.4% annual rate. This wasn't a great result and is a sign of poor business quality. Long-term growth is the most important, but within consumer discretionary, product cycles are short and revenue can be hit-driven due to rapidly changing trends and consumer preferences. Caleres's recent history shows its demand remained suppressed as its revenue has declined by 4.2% annually over the last two years. This quarter, Caleres missed Wall Street's estimates and reported a rather uninspiring 8.3% year-on-year revenue decline, generating $639.2 million of revenue. Company management is currently guiding for a 5.5% year-on-year decline in sales next quarter. Looking further ahead, sell-side analysts expect revenue to grow 2.2% over the next 12 months. Although this projection implies its newer products and services will catalyze better top-line performance, it is still below average for the sector. Today's young investors likely haven't read the timeless lessons in Gorilla Game: Picking Winners In High Technology because it was written more than 20 years ago when Microsoft and Apple were first establishing their supremacy. But if we apply the same principles, then enterprise software stocks leveraging their own generative AI capabilities may well be the Gorillas of the future. So, in that spirit, we are excited to present our Special Free Report on a profitable, fast-growing enterprise software stock that is already riding the automation wave and looking to catch the generative AI next. Caleres's operating margin has shrunk over the last 12 months and averaged 6.3% over the last two years. The company's profitability was mediocre for a consumer discretionary business and shows it couldn't pass its higher operating expenses onto its customers. In Q4, Caleres generated an operating profit margin of 1.2%, down 3.2 percentage points year on year. This contraction shows it was less efficient because its expenses increased relative to its revenue. We track the long-term change in earnings per share (EPS) for the same reason as long-term revenue growth. Compared to revenue, however, EPS highlights whether a company's growth is profitable. Caleres's EPS grew at a solid 14.5% compounded annual growth rate over the last five years, higher than its 1.4% annualized revenue declines. However, this alone doesn't tell us much about its business quality because its operating margin didn't expand. In Q4, Caleres reported EPS at $0.15, down from $1.64 in the same quarter last year. This print missed analysts' estimates, but we care more about long-term EPS growth than short-term movements. Over the next 12 months, Wall Street expects Caleres's full-year EPS of $3.10 to shrink by 12.7%. We were impressed by Caleres's optimistic full-year EPS guidance, which beat analysts' expectations. On the other hand, its EPS missed significantly and its EPS guidance for next quarter fell short of Wall Street's estimates. Overall, this was a softer quarter. The stock remained flat at $16.44 immediately after reporting. Should you buy the stock or not? We think that the latest quarter is just one piece of the longer-term business quality puzzle. Quality, when combined with valuation, can help determine if the stock is a buy. We cover that in our actionable full research report which you can read here, it's free.
