Amazon's biggest sale of the year has begun—and it's full of major Prime Day skincare deals. But just because a product's on sale doesn't necessarily mean it's worth investing in. With that in mind, we asked four aestheticians to share the formulas they recommend adding to your cart this Prime Day. These are some of the 10 Prime Day skincare deals professional aestheticians recommend buying this ... More week. Illustration: Forbes / Photo: Retailers Turning to products that have been vetted by aestheticians can help eliminate some of the trial and error that comes with finding the right skincare routine for you. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel: Now $74, Was $92 (20% Off) Laneige Lip Glowy Balm: Now $13, Was $19 (30% Off) Rahua Body Oil: Now $48, Was $60 (20% Off) Qure Q-Rejuvalight Pro Facewear: Now $276, Was $329 (16% Off) Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: Now $22, Was $32 (30% Off) Raw Sugar Simply Body Wash: Now $6, Was $8 (29% Off) Farmacy Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm: Now $13, Was $18 (30% Off) Supergoop Glowscreen SPF 40: Now $30, Was $38 (20% Off) Remedy Super Stacked Healthy Aging Treatment: Now $30, Was $38 (20% Off) Tatcha The Rice Polish: Now $48, Was $68 (30% Off) Celebrity facialist Sarah Akram recommends grabbing a box of the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel pads, since they use a patented two-step blend of AHAs and BHAs to smooth texture, minimize pores and boost radiance. Additional ingredients, such as antioxidants and retinol, also strengthen and improve the skin. 'It delivers consistent, professional-grade results at home without downtime,' she says. If you already own the cult-favorite Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, celebrity aesthetician Alexandra Wagner suggests trying this other formula from the brand. It's a nourishing tinted lip balm with a glossy finish. She appreciates how the tube packaging makes it easy to throw in different bags for on-the-go applications. If you're looking for a body oil that boosts glow without feeling greasy, intensely relieves dryness, boosts elasticity and repairs a damaged skin barrier, Akram likes this Rahua formula. 'It features a blend of lightweight, fast‑absorbing Amazonian symbiotic oils—like guayusa, rahua and sacha inchi—and is rich in omegas, antioxidants and vitamins C and E.' The Qure LED face mask is a favorite of board-certified dermatologist and Remedy founder Dr. Muneeb Shah. 'It's completely customizable through their app, allowing you to personalize treatments for each area of the face and up to five facial zones. It also includes five different light wavelengths that target skin concerns like fine lines, acne, collagen loss and more. Plus, it's completely hands-free and each treatment only takes three minutes.' 'Laneige's Water Sleeping Mask delivers a surge of overnight hydration thanks to squalane, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. It plumps, calms and repairs the skin barrier while you sleep,' says Akram. 'It also gives a visible glow and barrier boost by morning, making it perfect for proactive, treatment-ready clients.' Summer is a great time to stock up on body wash, and Akram recommends this option from Raw Sugar. 'This body wash is packed with clean, cold-pressed plant extracts that gently cleanse while locking in moisture—leaving skin soft, refreshed and nourished without any harsh chemicals,' she says. One of Dr. Shah's top cleansing balm recommendations, this formula is super effective at deeply cleansing the skin to remove excess dirt, impurities and makeup. 'After removing impurities, it leaves the skin silky smooth and hydrated thanks to its super green antioxidant ingredients,' he says. Not only is this Supergoop product an editor favorite, but Wagner is also a fan. Suitable for wearing alone or underneath makeup, the SPF 40 formula protects against harmful UV rays and blue light. It also features key ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5 and niacinamide to soothe the skin. 'This is my powerhouse product that combines clinically-proven ingredients like retinaldehyde, Argireline (a peptide known to mimic Botox-like effects), Matrixyl, glycolic acid, lactic acid and antioxidants,' says Dr. Shah. 'It's an all-in-one product that promotes healthy aging by improving wrinkles, fine lines, texture, elasticity, uneven skin tone and other major skin concerns.' Akram named Tatcha's exfoliating treatment as another one of her top Prime Day picks. 'The Rice Polish is a favorite for its gentle enzymatic exfoliation—it refines texture without disrupting the skin barrier. It's ideal for maintaining a healthy glow between professional treatments,' she says.

Refresh your skincare routine for spring, with lightweight moisturisers, gentle exfoliants and sunscreen from La Mer, Philip Thomas Roth, Ren and Supergoop!
As the days grow longer and the chill of winter starts to fade, it's not just our wardrobes that need a refresh – our skin does, too. The spring shift from cold, dry air to warmer, more humid conditions can leave your skin feeling confused, like it's trying to choose between wearing a trench coat or a denim jacket on a brisk March morning. But fear not – transitioning into spring isn't about tossing everything in your vanity; it's about tweaking what you've got and swapping in a few key products to handle the season's specific demands so your skin glows like a springtime bloom. Use a lightweight moisturiser La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream. Photo Handout Advertisement Dean-Richard Johansson, head skincare scientist at Optaderm, says now is the perfect moment to reach for moisturisers that may have felt too light for winter. 'Gel moisturisers, lotions and water-based creams hit the ideal balance, providing hydration without weighing the skin down,' he explains. Think La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream or Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream, both formulations that deliver moisture while having an airy, weightless feel. At the core of these products is hyaluronic acid , the ultimate hydrator that attracts water into the skin, ensuring deep hydration without clogging pores, and leaving the face feeling revived, plump and ready for the new season ahead. Add antioxidant-rich products Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Brighten & Firm Vitamin C Serum. Photo: Handout As the days grow sunnier, antioxidants take centre stage, 'acting as vigilant protectors against the free radicals unleashed by UV rays and pollution', Johansson says. Vitamin C sera are the go-to in this category. Reach for formulas like Dr Dennis Gross 15% Vitamin C Firm & Bright Serum or Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster, both designed to brighten and even out the skin tone and shield against environmental damage, while reviving that coveted post-winter glow for a complexion that's fresh and luminous. Use gentle exfoliants REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic. Photo: Handout No spring refresh is complete without addressing exfoliation , especially after a winter of battling thick creams and dry indoor air. 'The build-up of dead skin cells is a real concern, and it's often the culprit behind any lingering dullness,' explains Dr Ahmad Chaudhry, dermatologist at Danish brand Scandinavian Biolabs. For those with sensitive or dry skin, Ren's Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic is a gentle yet effective option that exfoliates without harshness, revealing smoother, more radiant skin sans irritation. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, Sunday Riley's Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment provides a more intense experience, brightening the skin while tackling texture and congestion and calming down inflammation.

‘I've used this LED face mask for four months and it's the best thing to happen to my skin'
LED masks aren't a new phenomenon in the beauty industry but new developments set some masks apart from others. How many LEDs the mask has, for instance, can make a difference, as can the frequency at which they emit their near-infrared light. According to aesthetics specialist Dr Edel Woods, 'the number of LEDs isn't the only factor, the spacing and placement of the LEDs matter, too.' The 'more LEDs will usually equal better coverage, so the light can reach more areas,' but 'a mask that has evenly spaced lights will usually produce better results' also. These technical differences separate a £40 mask from a £400 one. Silk'n's face and neck iteration (£399, for example, has four modes of operation for targeting different skin concerns: anti-ageing, skin brightening and smoothing, oil balancing and acne fighting. You can also buy just the face mask version (£160, With numerous LED masks on the market – think Currentbody, Dr Dennis Gross and Omnilux – Silk'n's offering is, on paper, a cut above some of its competitors, but how does it perform in reality? I've been using the Silk'n dual LED mask for almost four months, so I can bring you my honest thoughts and let you know whether or not the device is worth your hard-earned cash. Scroll on for my full granular review and verdict. How I tested I began testing the Silk'n dual LED mask at the start of October 2024, continuing to use it until 20 January 2025. I documented my testing through all stages of use, including during the Christmas period, which brought with it some bad skin habits (increased alcohol, sugar and fat intake). I noted any breakouts, plumping effects or irritation and recorded how the mask felt and held charge. For context, I'm 27 years old and have oily skin that's prone to blackheads and whiteheads and, while I don't generally suffer with pimples, those same blackheads and excess sebum leave the texture of my skin very rough and bumpy. Of course, having an oily complexion does mean my skin is less likely to show immediate signs of ageing but, again, I'm only 27 and haven't yet seen any big developments in the fine lines and wrinkles department. The areas in which I did anticipate improvements included the crow's feet developing around my eyes, the two deep creases in my neck (thanks to my 'tech neck' posture) and the concentration of blackheads. Why you can trust us As The Independent' s beauty writer, I am not only well-versed on the benefits of LED masks – having met with beauty tech experts such as Dr Alexis Granite and Dr Ahmed El Muntasar – I have also written about various devices for IndyBest (such as Currentbody's) already. I'm currently in the process of testing more than 10 different LED devices for a wider review, so my opinion of the Silk'n mask is largely informed by my experiences with similar devices from other brands. I've been working in the beauty sphere for more than five years and, in terms of cosmetics tech, I've covered everything from microcurrent tools to cryo globes.
