Slot machine player wins $1M progressive jackpot at MGM Grand Detroit
A slot machine player recently won more than $1 million on a progressive jackpot at MGM Grand Detroit. Casino officials said a lucky player won $1,075,996 while playing the Dragon Link slot machine game on July 19. The casino did not identify the player. The jackpot win is the casino's biggest in 2025 and the largest since a player hit a $1,271,645 jackpot in November 2024 — a record for MGM Grand Detroit, which first opened its doors in July 1999. The casino says it was the first commercial casino in Michigan to introduce the progressive jackpot Dragon Link slot machine, which debuted in July 2024. MGM Grand Detroit says players have won more than $215 million in jackpots in 2025, including more than $28 million in July.

The visitor bet $25, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a $163,245.69 jackpot message appeared. The gambler had a remaining credit of $79 when they won. 'We have a winner!' the casino said in the post. Dozens of people commented on the post to congratulate the winner. 'Wow what a blessing!' one person said. 'What an amazing win! Congratulations!' another person wrote. 'And yet again. Dragon Link!' someone else said.

$250 spin on a Vegas machine leads to $1 million jackpot for lucky player
A lucky winner walked away $1 million wealthier after snapping up a huge prize from a Las Vegas slot machine over the weekend. The unidentified player sat down at a Dragon Link slot machine at the Circa Resort & Casino and put down $250 on Saturday night to get the game rolling, the hotel said in a Facebook post on Sunday. The player then watched the lucky combination appear, instantly making them a millionaire. 'Last night, Dragon Link breathed fire [...] and left a million-dollar trail. '$250 spin to $1,082,545.37 win. The dragon's awake,' the casino wrote in the post. Users were quick to congratulate the mysterious winner on Facebook, and one person noted on the frequency of victories at the casino, stating, 'Wow, Circa has been paying out million-dollar jackpots like candy.' Another called out the high bet, writing: '$250 a spin? I have to look for that just to pay a bill!' Back in March, a lucky player, only identified as James, took home a jackpot worth $1,016,145.14 while playing on the Dollar Storm slot machine at the same casino, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He only placed a $2 bet. On Reddit, users have speculated on the odds of winning a jackpot on a Dragon Train machine after one person claimed to have witnessed two winners just minutes apart from each other in another location. I have to look for that just to pay a bill!' another person said. '$250 is my daily limit,' someone else said. Circa Resort & Casino is in downtown Las Vegas, and it's part of the Fremont Street Experience. The adult-only hotel opened in 2020, Travel and Leisure reported.
