Every day, at least one life lost in road accident in Goa: CM

Every day in Goa, at least one person loses their life in a road accident—a statistic that totals over 300 deaths annually, said chief minister Pramod Sawant during the launch of the Driver Sensitisation Tab Lab at the regional transport office (RTO) near the KTC bus stand in Panaji.
The directorate of transport on Tuesday introduced the 'Wrong Side of the Road' project, a 45-minute module designed to offer a reflective learning experience through video-based content. Sawant announced that completing this module will soon be mandatory for all individuals applying for new or renewed driving licences in Goa.
Each lab offers a modern, interactive platform for drivers to engage with the learning materials.
'We were afraid of coronavirus and were careful about Covid-19 protocol, but we are not afraid of and careful about accidents,' Sawant said.
