Snoop Dogg Claims He 'Bought Everything' Suge Knight Owns On New Song

Snoop Dogg didn't hold back on his new album Iz It a Crime? where he came for Suge Knight on the track 'ShutYoBi**hA**Up' — calling out the former Death Row boss for lying, snitching, and even being salty over Snoop's 2022 takeover of the iconic label. On the Stresmatic-featuring song, Snoop delivers bars dipped in decades of resentment, aimed squarely at his former label boss, although he never says his name. Over a West Coast bounce, he raps: 'I can see why you mad. I bought everything you own.' Claiming that Suge has been 'snitching' he adds, 'Now you in PC snitching on the phone/ Oh, bi**h-a** ni**a, I'm a rich-a** ni**a/ Waiting for you to get home so we can get the sh*t on.' He also alleges that Suge's jailhouse stories are 'made up.' Listen below. Snoop and Suge's beef dates back to 1998 when Snoop dipped out of Death Row Records amid chaos, courtroom drama, and Knight's looming legal issues. Fast forward to 2022, and Snoop's now the proud owner of the infamous label. Earlier this year, Suge spoke on Snoop's acquiring of the label from behind bars. Doubting Snoop's purchase of Death Row, he demanded to 'see the paperwork,' and even tossed out a wild accusation that Snoop admitted to financing Tupac's murder. 'Snoop, you said I'm mad because you bought Death Row,' Knight said at the time. 'What you buy? Shut me up. Show me where y'all paid the money to buy it. Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own.' Fed up with his remarks, Snoop fired back on Instagram with a slick post: 'This ni**a won't stop talking about me. Mad 'cause I own Death Row. I realize your real lies.' In a more recent interview with Big Boy, the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper explained why he finally put their issues on wax: 'You can't keep throwing rocks at me and bullying me and think I ain't gon' say nothing… I can't do nothing. 'Cause you in PC. But I can say something.' Iz It a Crime? dropped on Wednesday (May 14) with 21 tracks including features from Pharrell Williams, Sexyy Red, Wiz Khalifa, LaRussell, and October London. The title track even reimagines Sade's iconic ballad with an '80s slow jam/modern-day Hip-Hop twist. Listen to the full album below. Snoop Dogg reveals surprise new LP was inspired by Trump inauguration backlash: ‘Playin' with my reputation'

Snoop Dogg is barking back at the haters. The beloved rapper faced backlash after he performed at the Crypto Ball during President Trump's inauguration in January. But the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' MC turned the controversy into creativity, inspiring his surprise new LP 'Iz It a Crime?' that drops on Thursday. Advertisement 5 'I felt like there was a lot of unanswered questions over the past six months,' said Snoop Dogg about his surprise new album 'Iz It a Crime?' that was previewed at Manhattan's Prive House. Chuck Robinson 5 President Trump and Snoop attended the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump in 2011. FilmMagic 'That's why I made this album,' Snoop, 53, told the crowd at an intimate private event at Prive House in Manhattan on Wednesday, where he previewed his new album and short film. Advertisement He then spit some lyrics in response to those who have been blasting him and questioning his credibility: 'Too many n—-s playin' with my reputation/Step on my turf, you need an invitation.' Snoop said that the album's title, 'Iz It a Crime?' was inspired by what he was going through as he lost fans, including over 500,000 Instagram followers. 'I felt like there was a lot of unanswered questions over the past six months,' he said. 'And I just wanted to answer them through my music. 'It's therapy for me to be able to express myself [through] my art,' he added of the LP, which features collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Pharrell and Sexyy Red. 'Therapeutically, I was able to get off some answers that may have people trying to figure out where I'm going from here.' Advertisement 5 'I don't just make music to make music,' said Snoop Dogg at Prive House. 'I do it when I feel it's necessary.' hijo shot it On Thursday morning, Snoop again addressed the Trump inauguration backlash when he appeared on 'The Breakfast Club' radio show. 'I don't represent the Republican Party. I don't represent the Democratic Party. I represent the gangster party. Period,' he said, adding that the 30-minute DJ set booking wasn't an endorsement of Trump but rather a deal made with longtime business partner — and crypto czar — David Sacks. 'It was a crypto play meant to bring resources back to the hood,' Snoop said. 'That was the mission.' Advertisement Although he has been busy with everything from acting as a special commentator at the Summer Olympics last year to serving as a coach on 'The Voice,' Snoop is still passionate about making music. 5 Snoop Dogg met up with Busta Rhymes at Prive House for the private preview of Snoop's new album and short film. Chuck Robinson He released his album 'Missionary' in December, then followed that with a gospel LP, 'Altar Call,' which dropped just a few weeks ago. 'That came out for my mother's birthday, in the spirit of my mother,' Snoop spoke about his mom, Beverly Tate, who passed away in 2021, to the Prive House audience. 'When she transitioned, her spirit became my spirit. So this is what she spread, the word. 'And doing life and things in her name and her spirit, I chose that opportunity to do that … It was good for the heart, it was good for the spirit.' 5 Snoop Dogg was interviewed by Brian ' Miller at the NYC private preview of the rapper's new album and short film. Chuck Robinson Snoop also bought Death Row Records — the label that launched him to stardom with 1993's 'Doggystyle' — in 2022. But he no longer wants the label to be associated with 'negative characteristics' such as gang violence. Advertisement And while he will be supporting other artists signed to his roster, Snoop is still very much inspired to make his own music, with three albums released in the span of five months. 'I'm to the point in my career now where … I don't just make music to make music,' he said. 'I do it when I feel it's necessary, when I feel like it's a void missing with my sound, my voice.'

Snoop Dogg Reacts To IShowSpeed Confusing Him With Impersonator

IShowSpeed thought he met one of the most popular rappers ever this weekend and had to snap a selfie to celebrate the moment. Unfortunately, the man in the photo was not Snoop Dogg, and the Long Beach, Calif., rapper got a great laugh out of the moment. The popular streamer attended the Fatal Fury boxing event in NYC's Times Square on Friday (May 2) and ran into a man who looked like the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper. Footage surfaced of the man sitting next to him, taking a photo, having a brief conversation, and then parting ways. Given Speed's hilarious mistake, the video went viral and eventually made its way to Snoop's timeline. The 53-year-old rapper reshared the post and wrote 'Almost' with multiple laughing emojis. The comments were loaded with laughs from several users and a few funny quips. 'Unc he starting look like you more than you,' one fan wrote. 'Damn, that means u gota meet him for real Snoop,' another fan wrote. One person called out who the impersonator was, an actor named Eric Finch, who is known for being a Snoop look-alike and even shot a Corona commercial with the legendary rapper once. Check out the moment below. Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records recently shared their gospel compilation album Altar Call, which was dedicated to his late mother, Beverly Tate. Jamie Foxx, Jazze Pha, October London, John P. Kee, and Charlie Bereal appeared on the 21-song project, among many other artists. 'The spirit of my mother will forever live within me. Why NBCU's advertising president Alison Levin is betting 2026 will be a blockbuster year

Good morning! Testimonies begin in Diddy's sex trafficking trial, hand sanitizer brand Touchland to be acquired, and Fortune's Nina Ajemian reports from NBCUniversal's Upfront presentation—where execs are promising a studio that's bigger and better than ever. - Upfront and personal. In between Seth MacFarlane dissing competing streaming services in a glitzy musical number and Snoop Dogg rapping 'Drop It Like It's Hot,' NBCUniversal painted a vision of an unforgettable year ahead for the legacy studio during its annual Upfront presentation yesterday at Radio City Music Hall. Donna Langley, chairman of NBCUniversal entertainment and studios, is the only woman to run a legacy Hollywood studio. She made the pitch that NBCUniversal's best days are ahead of it—as it approaches its 100th anniversary in 2026. NBCUniversal made $3.76 billion at the global box office last year. 'At a moment when attention is being pulled in multiple directions, our ability to collaborate across the company and work together towards a common goal is our superpower,' Langley said. 'And, that starts with our franchise-first strategy, investing in durable stories and brands that inspire fans everywhere in a multitude of ways.' At the Upfront, longtime NBC talent Tina Fey and Amy Poehler announced a TV special celebrating the network's centennial. NBCU showed trailers for new TV shows, like All Her Fault with Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning and The 'Burbs with Keke Palmer. Wicked director Jon M. Chu screened the trailer for the highly anticipated Wicked: For Good, with the first installment grossing $754 million in box offices worldwide since its opening in November 2024. Plus, he announced that Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will perform songs from the musical in a live TV special in November, which will air on NBC and stream on Peacock. Despite the looming spinoff of the media company's cable assets—which will form a new company called Versant (and give Langley even more responsibility)—NBCU is still selling its entire portfolio to advertisers. Before the presentation, I spoke with Alison Levin, president of advertising and partnerships, about how she has been thinking about advertising at NBCU. Levin joined the company in 2023, after serving as VP of global ad revenue at TV streaming company Roku. Now at NBCU, she oversees agency partnerships, client diversification, and 'verticalization,' or focusing marketing on a specific industry. Part of her job is to translate that corporate-speak for consumers. 'Consumers have a relationship with IP, not delivery mechanism. You wake up, and you think about that funny clip you watched on SNL, but you're not like, 'Did I watch it on linear or did I watch it on Peacock?'' she says. Levin is also thinking about live sports and how to maximize their advertising potential. NBCUniversal used programmatic advertising for the first time at the Olympics last year, which was a 'testing experiment' for future live events, she says. Starting in 2026, NBA games are coming to NBC and Peacock, with Michael Jordan joining as a special contributor on coverage. Langley told advertisers yesterday that NBA games would 'create a halo effect around the entire entertainment schedule.' Beyond the content slate, the events calendar will keep NBCUniversal and its advertising team busy next year. Sunday Night Football goes straight into Bravocon (the annual festival for Real Housewives fans), which is followed by the Rockefeller tree lighting, the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star, and the World Cup. 'It's such an incredible opportunity for advertisers to tell their stories on the largest stage there's ever been,' says Levin.
