Man (50s) and woman (40s) arrested as gardai and Revenue seize €224k of cannabis in Co Dublin

A man and woman have been arrested after gardai and the Revenue Customs Service seized €224,000 worth of cannabis in Co. Dublin earlier today.
As part of 'intelligence-led operations', Revenue officers seized 11.2kgs of herbal cannabis worth an estimated €224,000, following searches at two separate locations.
'These separate seizures were made as a result of joint operations conducted by Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and DMR North Central and DMR East Divisional Drugs Units,' a Garda spokesperson said.
'A man aged in his 40's and a woman aged in her 50's were arrested by Gardaí and are currently detained at Garda Stations in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.'
