A statement Wednesday from the Port Alberni RCMP says police were called about the discovery in the city's Dry Creek Park at 5:41 p.m. Monday. 'Front-line officers responded and located a deceased person with apparent injuries,' the statement said. 'Forensic identification services attended and processed the scene.' Investigators are working with the B.C. Coroners Service to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. Police say the identity of the male victim has been confirmed but his name will not be released at this time. Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
