Emirates launches third daily Dubai to Mauritius flight
Emirates has announced a big update for travellers seeking a tropical island getaway. The world's largest international airline will soon fly three times per day from Dubai to Mauritius. Starting on Monday December 1, Dubai travellers will get three different options throughout the day to get to the popular island destination. Announced on Monday July 21, the airline revealed that the new third daily flight will complement the existing schedules and support the travel plans of Emirates customers. The additional daily service will take off from Dubai International Airport at 6.55am GST and arrive in Mauritius at 1.40pm local time. Return flights will depart Mauritius at 6.30pm local time and arrive at DXB at 1.10am the following day. (Credit: CanvaPro) The addition of a third daily service comes as the result of a codeshare agreement between Emirates and Air Mauritius. The codeshare will provide convenient flight timings to support travel itineraries and allow for connectivity from the Middle East, Europe and the Americas from the Indian Ocean holiday spot. Additionally, the new third daily service will provide more connections from and to the far east with Emirates promoting Mauritius to audiences in Japan, China, Malaysia and Hong Kong. The service will be operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft and provide seats in first class, business class and economy class. Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer said that the wide-body aircraft will allow more travellers to get to Mauritius. He said: 'We would like to thank the Mauritian authorities for making an additional daily service possible. 'We have been proudly serving Mauritius since 2002 and our double daily A380 services have been a major success and contributor to the growth of the country's tourism industry. 'The additional daily service on our wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft will enable a more than 30 percent increase in capacity on the route, while also providing additional flight options for leisure and business travellers to seamlessly connect to flights.' The first vertiport at Dubai International Airport is expected to be ready by early 2026. The main aim of this is to enable quick travel across the city's congested areas. Initially, the journey from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah takes about 45 minutes by car, but with the air taxi, it will take just 12 minutes. Here are some of the key details: Travellers will be able to book the air taxi through a mobile app. It will function much like Uber. Joby is Uber's global partner Users will be able to book the taxi, board it, and make payments—all through a single app. This service will expand to hotels and key locations as well. This will make it easier to travel directly from the airport to one's destination. Its top speed will be 320 kilometers per hour. How much will be the fare? According to Conde Nast Traveller, Joby estimates that a single trip will cost around $75 (approximately Rs 6,464). However, it is important to note that the exact fare hasn't been confirmed yet. Reports also suggest that the fare will be similar to an expensive Uber Black ride. The taxi will feature glass walls and a windshield extending to the roof, offering a spectacular view of Dubai city during the flight. How many passengers can it carry? All air taxis will be operated by licensed pilots. The company assures that all necessary safety measures will be in place before the service is launched for the public. Each air taxi will be able to accommodate one pilot and four passengers.

Emirates has officially opened a brand-new luxurious check-in lounge at Dubai International Airport. Now open at Terminal 3 of DXB, Emirates First provides first class and Skywards Platinum members a spacious, opulent and refined private seating area. The previous first class check-in lounge was closed in January to allow upgrades to be carried out. The lounge provides high-end Emirates customers with iPads to carry out the formalities of the check-in process while sitting comfortably. Emirates to launch third daily Dubai
The world's largest international airline has announced a new daily flight to one of Europe's top capital cities. Starting from Sunday October 26, Emirates will operate a third daily flight to Dublin from Dubai. The third daily route, EK165, will serve as an early morning flight from Dubai International Airport – departing at 2.10am GST and arriving in Ireland at 6.25am local time. And the return flight EK166 will depart Dublin at 8.25am local time and arrive in DXB at 8pm GST. The additional flight provides Irish travellers with an early morning departure option and complements the existing afternoon and evening departures that the airline already has in place. Emirates will operate a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft set in a three-class configuration which will offer customers eight private suites in first class, 42 lie flat seats in business class and 304 seats in economy class.
