The Portlaoise Leisure Centre is located on Castle Avenue and is one of the county's most popular sports and swimming facilities.
The pool is 25 meters in length, and there is also a separate learners' pool for young children ensuring fun for all ages.
What's more, there is now inflatable slides, balancing beams and spikes every Saturday from 3pm until 4pm and Sunday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

The main pool operates on weekdays from 9:00am to 9:15pm, with weekends offering hours from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
For those who want to stay longer, if the pool isn't busy swimmers can enjoy the facilities until closing time.
Admission fees are affordable, with children entering for €6 and adults for €10 per session and there are even yearly memberships available.

The leisure centre is operated by Laois Leisure Services and is well-maintained, offering a range of facilities including individual changing cubicles, disabled toilets and showers.
Right next to the pool, there are benches and tables, giving parents the perfect spot to watch their kids.

For those looking to do more than swim, there are also two indoor sports halls and a fully equipped gym located next to the pool.
