B Praak delivers another beautiful melody in the form of 'Duniya' from Jombieland
The makers of Punjab's first-ever zombie comedy, "Jombieland" delivered the latest track from the movie, "Duniya". Brought to life by the soulful voice of , the tunes for the track have been scored by Avvy Sra, with lyrics penned by Kharaa. He was truly impressed by the composition and the story behind it, and he immediately came on board with great enthusiasm." Recently, the makers unveiled a new character poster of Kanika Mann as Koko from "Jombieland". Talking about the film, Kanika shared, "When I first heard the script, I was both surprised and thrilled. A zombie comedy in Punjabi cinema? That's never been done before. What really pulled me in was how unique and entertaining the story is. Koko is bold, witty, and fiercely independent - a character I couldn't wait to play." The 'Daana Paani' actress further shared titbits about her role saying, "Koko is a fiery, free-spirited village girl who doesn't believe in following the rules. She's deeply in love with Jeeti but isn't afraid to speak her mind or stand up to anyone - even during a zombie outbreak! Vijay Kumar joins Vijay Sethupathi in Puri Jagannadh's next
Writer and director Puri Jagannadh, known for his firebrand commercial filmmaking, is gearing up for his next pan-India project, starring the versatile Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu in pivotal roles. Now, adding an explosive edge to this so-called "high-octane entertainer" is Kannada actor-director Vijay Kumar. Best known for his breakout role in his debut Duniya , followed by several successful films, and later as the director of Salaga and Bheema , Vijay Kumar has made his presence felt across South Indian languages. After making his acting Telugu debut alongside Balakrishna in Veera Simha Reddy , he is now set to share the screen with Vijay Sethupathi in what promises to be an exciting collaboration. While the makers have officially announced Vijay Kumar's addition to the cast, they have remained tight-lipped about his role. However, they've hinted at a "raw and electrifying" character, perfectly aligned with Puri Jagannadh's signature style of intense storytelling. In an exclusive conversation with CE, Vijay Kumar spoke about landing the role. 'Puri Jagannadh has always brought his signature style to commercial cinema. Ever since I watched his Kannada directorial Appu , starring Puneeth Rajkumar, I've dreamt of being directed by him. He's a master of mass entertainers and knows how to inject energy into every frame,' Vijay said. He also reflected on working alongside the acclaimed Vijay Sethupathi. 'Yes, it's Vijay vs Vijay,' he said with a smile. 'A lot of people asked if there would be competition between us, but for me, it's about sincere effort. We've both come up from scratch, from humble beginnings. I admire Vijay Sethupathi's journey—he's reached incredible heights purely through talent. There's so much I can learn from both him and Puri Jagannadh, and I look forward to doing just that.' Currently, Vijay Kumar is juggling multiple projects, including directing City Lights , which stars his daughter Monisha alongside Vinay Rajkumar. He is also part of the upcoming Nayanthara-starrer Mookuthi Amman 2 . Shooting for the Puri Jagannadh film is expected to begin in June. 'All this is happening by God's grace and my mother's blessings,' he added with emotion. 'Today, acting isn't limited by language. Films travel, and a project like this gives actors like me the platform to reach across regions and connect with wider audiences.' The film is being produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects, with Vishu Reddy serving as CEO.

In a message posted on Instagram, Karan Johar reflected on his long-standing association with Ibrahim's family, which spans over four decades. Karan Johar recalled meeting Amrita Singh when he was 12 during her collaboration with his father, Yash Johar, on the 1984 film Duniya. He mentioned the warmth she treated him and described the strong bond they formed from that point onward. Karan Johar also noted his first meeting with Saif Ali Khan, describing him as 'young, suave, and charming.' Karan Johar highlighted his deep connection with the Khan family in his post, stating, 'Films are in their blood, their genes, and their passion.' He shared his excitement for Ibrahim's debut in Dharma Productions' upcoming film Sarzameen and mentioned that Ibrahim's upcoming film would bring forward a new wave of talent. Karan Johar's post came as part of the announcement of Ibrahim's entry into Bollywood. His sister, actress Sara Ali Khan, also shared her support by reposting Johar's message with a caption welcoming Ibrahim to the film industry. Ibrahim's debut follows in the footsteps of his family's longstanding presence in Indian cinema. He is expected to appear in Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani. His entry into the industry has generated interest and anticipation among fans. The announcement of Ibrahim's debut comes shortly after Saif Ali Khan's recovery from a violent attack at his home, which occurred during an alleged robbery attempt. Saif has since undergone treatment. Following immediate surgery at Lilavati Hospital, Saif was discharged on January 21, sparking criticism from some on the internet regarding the speed of his recovery. Responding to these trolls, Saba Pataudi, the sister of actor Saif Ali Khan, took to Instagram to defend her brother, urging them to "educate yourselves." She shared a post featuring cardiologist Dr Deepak Krishnamurthy, who clarified the reason behind Saif's rapid recovery. Dr. Krishnamurthy explained that individuals who undergo serious surgeries, like a cardiac bypass, often resume normal activities, such as climbing stairs, just days after the procedure.

Karan Johar announces Ibrahim Ali Khan's Bollywood debut
Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to introduce Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, to Bollywood. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Johar shared his excitement and fond memories of Ibrahim's parents. Reflecting on his relationship with Saif and Amrita, Johar said: "I met Amrita or Dingy, as the loved ones call her, when I was just 12 years old. She did a film for my father, Yash Johar, called Duniya in 1984, and I remember the energy and grace she had. But what I remember the most is the warmest Chinese dinner with her after our first meeting." He also fondly remembered meeting Saif for the first time, noting how Ibrahim's personality reminds him Saif's charm and suave demeanour. Karan Johar expressed his deep admiration for the Khan family, saying: "Films are in their blood, their genes and their passion," he said. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director added that this marks a new chapter in his collaboration with the family, one that spans four decades, as he has also worked with Sara Ali Khan in Simmba as one of the producers of the film. Ibrahim's sister, actress Sara Ali Khan, also joined in celebrating her brother's debut by sharing Karan's announcement on her Instagram stories. "@iakpataudi welcome to the movies," she wrote. This announcement comes a day after Karan teased the launch of new talent, posting a reel on social media about debutant directors and actors, hinting at a fresh wave of stories being told by his production house, Dharma Productions. Ibrahim has previously worked as an assistant director on Karan's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which starred Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan.
