History made by Presteigne Cricket Club batting stars
BUILTH Wells suffered a 101 run thrashing at home to Woolhope in division seven of the Herefordshire League on Saturday.
Dom Larkin (129) starred as Woolhope set a target of 276 despite the efforts of Dylan McPhee (4039), Sam Avis (2-21) and Musa Makhubela (2-58).
McPhee (53), Harri Phillips (24) and Neil Harris (22) top scored in reply with Larkin (3-60) and Ali Park (3-60) ensuring the Bulls were all out for 175.
Hay crashed to a 161 run defeat at Kington in division eight.
Laura Wade (113no) carried her bat with support from Rhys Morgan (82) helping the hosts to 275-4 under pressure from Mark Burgess (3-32) before Wayne Evans (43) and Burgess (24) led Hay to 114 in reply as Gary Urwin (2-1), Duncan Morgan (2-20), Bryan Kirkham (2-35) and Jacob Houchin (2-20) dominated.
Presteigne smashed records in their 185 run derby thrashing of Builth Wells IIs in division nine.
Edward Rees (114) and William Bartholomew (113) combined to set a 210 run second wicket partnership with support from Dave Austin (40) helping the hosts to a club record 337-6 with Ian Morgan (2-72) and Owen Evans (2-2) leading the wickets.
