The World's 12 Richest Plastic Surgeons—And Why Only 14% Are Women
According to a new ranking by Europe Surgery, the world's top 12 richest plastic surgeons have a combined net worth of $408.7 million. But behind the glitz and glamour of their success lies a stark gender divide—86% of these high-earning surgeons are men, leaving women significantly under-represented at just 14%. And yet, the majority of plastic surgery patients are women. At the top of the list is Dr. Leonard 'Lenny' Hochstein, Miami's self-proclaimed 'Boob God', boasting an empire worth $90 million. Not far behind is Dr. Gabriel Chiu, a Beverly Hills surgeon with royal Chinese lineage valued at $80 million. And, of course, Dr. Terry Dubrow, the beloved star of E!'s hit show Botched, secures the third spot with $70 million in the bank. Photo by philippe spitalier on Unsplash So why, in an industry that profits largely from female patients, do women remain on the financial sidelines? 'Historically, plastic surgery has been a male-dominated field, and societal norms continue to favour men in pay and opportunities,' explains Dr. Nawall Matar, a plastic surgeon at Europe Surgery. 'But change is happening. Women bring a unique perspective and empathy to a profession where most patients are women. As more doors open, we'll see plenty of women rising to the top.' 'Women and men from Edinburgh have been flying to Wroclaw in Poland with direct flights with Ryanair to visit our cosmetic surgery clinic.' Indeed, trailblazers like Dr. Maria Z. Siemionow, a face transplant pioneer, and Dr. Cat Begovic, a social media sensation with over 1 million Instagram followers, are proving that women are carving their space in the industry. Yet, obstacles remain. 'Barriers still exist, like the 'career vs. family' dilemma, which slows progress for many women,' adds Dr. Matar. 'I was fortunate to have strong mentors, but not everyone gets that support. To truly level the playing field, we need more role models, mentorship, and equal opportunities.' Dr Adam Kalecinski who works at Europe surgery states that just because someone earns a lot of money does not mean they are more qualified or even more experienced surgeons. Cosmetic Surgery does not have to be expensive to be good quality. Meet the 12 Richest Plastic Surgeons Shaping the Industry Today. 1. Dr. Leonard 'Lenny' Hochstein—$90 Million Miami's self-proclaimed 'Boob God' sits at the top of the list. With over 27,000 breast surgeries performed in his 20-year career, Hochstein has turned his expertise in cosmetic surgery into a $90 million empire. Born in Moscow, Russia, and now dominating Miami's elite plastic surgery scene, Hochstein's rise to fame includes a $52 million Star Island mansion, which became a central feature on The Real Housewives of Miami. 2. Dr. Gabriel Chiu—$80 million Not only is Dr. Gabriel Chiu a Beverly Hills plastic surgery genius, but he's also literal royalty—a descendant of China's Song dynasty emperors. Talk about noble hands at work! A star of Netflix's Bling Empire, Dr. Chiu is the go-to surgeon for Hollywood's elite, turning A-listers' cosmetic dreams into reality. But he's not just about nips and tucks—Dr. Chiu and his wife, Christine, give away 50% of their income to charities like The Prince's Foundation and The Ghetto Film School. Who knew reconstructing faces could reconstruct lives too? 3. Dr. Terry Dubrow—$70 Million Dr. Terry Dubrow isn't just a surgeon—he's the fixer of Hollywood's most 'oops' moments. As the star of Botched, he's built a reputation as the guy to call when your nip-and-tuck turns into a 'what have I done?' moment. But Dubrow isn't just saving faces; he's making bank. Alongside his wife Heather, the pair sold their Orange County mansion for a jaw-dropping sum, proving that his real estate game is just as flawless as his surgical skills. Dubrow? More like Doctor Double Threat. 4. Dr. Paul Nassif—$40 Million The man behind Hollywood's most enviable noses, Dr. Paul Nassif, aka the 'Face Whisperer,' is a maestro of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Whether it's anti-ageing magic or crafting the perfect rhinoplasty, Dr. Nassif has become the go-to surgeon for Tinseltown's elite. As co-star of Botched, Dr. Nassif isn't just about making people look good—he's about fixing what others couldn't. Add to that his QVC-famous skincare line, and you've got a guy who's turning faces (and profits) into gold. Ethical, artistic, and outrageously successful, Dr. Nassif has truly carved his way to the top. 5. Dr. Brent Moelleken—$20 Million Beverly Hills' very own makeover magician, Dr. Brent Moelleken, didn't just raise the bar in aesthetic surgery—he invented it. Creator of the 'Hybrid Tummy Tuck' and 'LiveFill', he's redefined the art of looking flawless. But Dr. Moelleken doesn't stop at scalpel magic—he's also a reality TV darling, gracing screens on Extreme Makeover and The Doctors. From the operating room to the living room, he sure knows how to keep everyone watching—and wishing for his touch! 6. Dr. Chris Moss—$20M Known as Australia's 'King of Facial Rejuvenation,' Dr. Chris Moss has spent two decades helping celebrities, CEOs, and even politicians cheat the clock. But he's not just making faces younger—he teaches Hollywood surgeons how to up their game and runs a skincare empire that has fans scrambling. His products sell out so fast, they make Taylor Swift tickets look easy to get. 7. Dr. Robert Rey—$20M Dr. Robert Rey isn't just a Harvard-trained plastic surgeon; he's a reality TV icon, martial artist, and the creator of the 'red carpet breast lift' (yes, that's a thing—because regular cleavage just doesn't cut it on the red carpet). Best known as the star of Dr. 90210, this Brazilian-born surgeon has spent over 20 years perfecting the art of making A-listers and royalty red-carpet-ready. But Rey's journey is nothing short of blockbuster material. Growing up in São Paulo's favelas, he fought his way to the top, carving out a $20 million fortune along the way. His life is so over-the-top, it's practically begging for a Netflix special. 8. Dr. Kevin Sands—$20M If teeth could talk, they'd sing praises for Dr. Kevin Sands, Hollywood's go-to guy for A-list smiles. The Kardashians, Justin Bieber, Emma Stone—you name them, Dr. Sands has made teeth his business—and business is booming. He once pulled off a dental miracle, creating custom veneers overnight for a superstar whose teeth were damaged just hours before a red carpet event. That's right—emergency dental glamour at its finest. It's no wonder he's earned the nickname 'Hollywood's Smile Savior.' 9. Dr. Maria Z. Siemionow—$14M At 74, Dr. Maria Z. Siemionow isn't just a surgeon—she's a living legend. This Polish-American powerhouse made history by leading one of the world's first near-total face transplants, earning her a permanent spot in the medical hall of fame, the Smithsonian too. Hailed as one of the most significant surgical breakthroughs of the 21st century, her work has literally changed faces—and lives. 10. Dr. Michael Obeng—$8M Ghanaian-American superstar surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng is not just slicing through the cosmetic world—he's carving out a legacy. With an $8 million empire and a reputation as the 'Surgeon to the Stars,' Dr. Obeng's luxury-meets-precision approach has Hollywood buzzing. But it was a viral, jaw-dropping case that shot him to global fame—removing industrial-strength glue from a patient's scalp. Talk about turning a sticky situation into a win! 11. Dr. Cat Begovic—$5M At just 42 years old, Dr. Cat Begovic isn't your average cosmetic surgeon—she's a Harvard-educated powerhouse with over 1 million Instagram followers and a $5 million fortune to her name. Known for her 'natural tummy tuck' technique that leaves barely-there scars, Dr. Cat has attracted clients from all corners of the globe. But she doesn't stop at the operating room. Dr. Cat has seamlessly blended her medical expertise with her passion for beauty, launching her own skincare line and becoming a go-to influencer for all things aesthetics. 12. Dr. Jason Diamond —$4M With a $4 million fortune, Dr. Jason Diamond has become the secret weapon behind those 'they woke up like this' celebrity looks. Known for his Diamond Facial Sculpting technique—so exclusive it has a six-month waitlist—his work is often called camera magic, making stars flawless in HD and 4K. You've seen his handiwork on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and his client list spans the globe, with VIPs jetting in from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Kim Zolciak Slams Kroy Biermann Amid Divorce: ‘I've Wanted To Speak…'
The divorce of Real Housewives of Atlanta alums and continues to unravel in dramatic and very public fashion, and Kim's finally breaking her silence. During a live taping in Atlanta for Kristin Cavallari's Let's Be Honest podcast for E!'s Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour show, Kim opened up about her painful split. The two reality stars bonded over their messy breakups – Kristin finalized her divorce from former NFL player Jay Cutler in 2022 – and Kim didn't hold back. A preview for Kristin's upcoming E! show teased a raw conversation with Kim about love gone wrong. Kristin, no stranger to high-profile splits herself, didn't mince words: 'We're over here like, 'Are you f*cking kidding me?'' Kim took the moment to directly address a major accusation from her estranged husband. 'I've wanted to speak,' she told the crowd. 'Like, Kroy filing a motion saying I'm an unfit parent. I've been on TV what? Like 17 years. The only thing that hasn't been said about me is that I've been a bad parent. You cannot say that.' She continued, 'My kids are my entire life. They always have been. I raised my girls by myself. And that's one thing that Kroy knew what would hurt me the most.' Since filing for divorce in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage, things have spiraled fast. From numerous police visits to a court-ordered schedule for accessing their primary suite closet, the legal back-and-forth has been relentless. The court ordered both to undergo psychological testing. Despite sharing four children and once living under the same roof post-split amid financial ruin, the situation hasn't cooled. 'You're with somebody for this long, I'm not an *sshole,' Kim said. 'I still, even today, was nice on the phone. I still treat him with respect.' Even Kristin seemed overwhelmed by the intensity. 'It's not black or white, it's so complicated,' she said. There was once a glimmer of hope, the couple briefly called off the divorce last July. But Kroy refiled just weeks later, asking for sole custody and alimony. And though Kim claims they were still sleeping together months after, that too wasn't enough to fix things. As the legal back-and-forth drags on, Kim seems done staying quiet. The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Don't Be Tardy stream on Peacock and Hayu in the U.K. and Ireland. Tom Cruise comes under fire for 'awkward' Father's Day comment
Tom Cruise has caught heat for a 'sad' comment he made when Father's Day was brought up. Fans have questioned Cruise's response to a journalist who brought the topic up at the New York premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Cruise somewhat stumbled when asked about his plans on the day, which Americans will mark on 15 June. 'Father's Day is just around the corner,' the interviewer pointed out before asking the movie star, 'What would an ideal Father's Day look like for you?' Having engaged happily in the conversation for several minutes before the question, action star Cruise, 62, paused before quickly working to change the subject. 'You know…', he began to the E! reporter before staring into the distance. He eventually added: 'Just having fun, man.' Without referring to any of his three children, Suri, 19, Bella, 32, or Connor, 30, Cruise pivoted his answer to start talking about the film industry. 'Making movies, big adventures, having a great time,' he said. Fans were quick to express their thoughts on Tom's sidestep of the question. 'A simple question about Father's Day and he can't answer it,' @Dorothy-v8c commented on E!'s YouTube account. 'He has gotten to a point where all he can talk about is movies and his love of movies. What about being a parent, Tom? There was a time when that was important to you. Sad for this man.' @ameliahawkins283 also commented: 'making movies ? That's definitely not a Dad activity. His loss'. 'man avoiding father role', quipped @Chryeon. Other viewers jumped to defend the actor, with @ralphangel561 commenting: 'That's his personal business and no one's business. He is there to work, not talk about his personal business'. Cruise, currently rumoured to be dating Ana de Armas, shares Bella and Connor with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, to whom he was married from 1990 to 2001. Meanwhile, he is estranged from daughter Suri, born in 2006 while he was married to Katie Holmes. Cruise and Holmes were married for six years before the actress filed for divorce in 2012. Cruise later stated that 46-year-old Dawson's Creek star did so to protect Suri from Scientology, with Suri no longer a practising member of the organisation. Suri was then raised by her mother in New York and, now a teenager, graduated from LaGuardia High School last year. During her graduation ceremony, Suri revealed her new name for the first time, having dropped the Cruise surname and now going simply by Suri Noelle. After it was claimed Suri's alleged trust fund from Cruise had kickstarted after her 18th birthday, ex-wife Holmes took to Instagram to deny the speculation. 'I don't want a target on my child's back,' she wrote in a comment posted last December. 'It's dangerous.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video While Cruise himself doesn't speak publicly about Suri now, he previously claimed that he never 'cut Suri out of [his] life'. More Trending 'Certainly what doesn't change is the love that I have for my daughter, and that I didn't abandon her emotionally, physically, or otherwise,' Cruise said in 2013. 'And in terms of how I feel about her, in terms of the responsibility that I feel towards my child, it has not waned in any way.' Since then, reports that Cruise no longer sees Suri have been pretty common, as The Sun suggested their visits ceased around 2013. Got a story? Kim Kardashian to testify against 'grandpa robbers' in Paris trial over $9M jewelry heist
PARIS — Kim Kardashian will take the stand in a Paris courtroom on Tuesday to testify against a gang of 10 people known as the 'grandpa robbers' who are accused of stealing jewelry worth $9 million at gunpoint from her in one of the most audacious celebrity heists in modern French history. Almost nine years after the break-in at the reality star turned business mogul's luxury suite at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, an anonymous-looking building known as 'No Address' frequented by A-list celebrities, the reality star will face the suspects accused of armed robbery, kidnapping and other criminal charges. Dubbed the 'grandpa robbers' by French media because of their ages, the suspects allegedly posed as police officers before they overpowered the concierge, who was forced to act as a translator as they tied Kardashian up in the bedroom of the luxury suite. Months after the robbery made headlines, Kardashian talked about the incident during a season 13 episode of E!'s 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.' 'My door was open like this, and then I saw two guys holding another guy down in police uniforms, but right outside of my bedroom, 5 feet away,' she told her sisters, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian in an emotional conversation. She said she saw the two men holding down the concierge, who was handcuffed and had a key to her room. 'What I've heard from talking to him afterward is, they said, you know, 'Where's the rapper's wife? Let us up to her room!' in French,' she said, referring to her then-husband, the artist Ye, formerly Kanye West. The episode which aired in March 2017 has been viewed 3.8 million times on E!'s YouTube channel. Ahead of the robbery, Kardashian had posted real-time updates from her hotel suite, showing off a 20-carat diamond ring, gifted to her by Ye and investigators believe the gang followed her online, combing through images, timestamps, geotags, before employing old-school criminal methods to conduct the robbery. Most of the defendants were arrested three months after the robbery as police launched a huge operation that involved piecing together security camera footage and DNA evidence. But the legal process was beset by delays and many of the aging defendants are now suffering from illnesses and one of them has since died. Another is too unwell to stand trial. Among the defendants at the trial which began last month are Aomar Ait Khedache, 69, known as 'Old Omar,' who is accused of being the plot's mastermind. His son and alleged getaway driver, Harminy, 37, has also been charged along with Didier 'Blue Eyes' Dubreucq, 69. The brother of Kardashian's driver in Paris, Gary Madar, 35, is accused of providing the alleged gang members with information about her whereabouts and 78-year-old Christiane Glotin, is accused of being an accomplice in planning the heist. Yunice Abbas, perhaps the best-known defendant in the trial who detailed the robbery in his 2021 book, 'I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian,' testified last month. He told the court it was the first time he had truly come to recognize the 'trauma' he had caused his victim.

It's the first gala to focus exclusively on Black designers and the first since 2003 to have a menswear theme. When guests arrive at the Met Gala, they will arrive at the exhibition 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.' Vogue said this year's theme is a nod to the exhibition's focus on menswear and is 'purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation.' Vogue said the theme explores the tailoring of clothing in forming Black identities, with a focus on the 'emergence, significance, and proliferation of the Black dandy.' About 450 guests composed of 'rising stars, young creatives' and celebrities of fashion, the arts, sports and politics are expected at the event Monday evening.
