Young Noble, whose real name is Rufus Lee Cooper III, was born in Sierra Madre, California, and moved to New Jersey as a child. There, he met future Outlawz members Hussein Fatal and Yaki Kadafi. Cooper crossed paths with Shakur in California after moving back to his native state while the latter rapper was working on his 1996 record All Eyez on Me. He made his debut on Shakur's posthumous album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, and was featured on songs 'Bomb First (My Second Reply),' 'Hail Mary,' 'Life of an Outlaw' and 'Just Like Daddy.' He released his debut solo album, Noble Justice, in 2002. 10 years later, his second record Son of God came out, followed by Powerful in 2016 and 3rd Eye View in 2019. Young Noble, a member of rap group the Outlawz and a Tupac Shakur affiliate, has died at the age of 47. The emcee, whose real name is Rufus Lee Cooper III, reportedly took his own life in Atlanta, according to fellow Outlawz member E.D.I. Mean who shared the news of his death on social media. 'Today I got some of the worst and unexpected news imaginable,' he wrote. 'My brother and partner for over 30 years took his life this morning. Rest in Power Rufus Young Noble Cooper. Shakur's Instagram account, managed by his estate, reposted the message. The rapper was best known for his work with the Outlawz and appearances on Shakur tracks including 'Hail Mary' and the posthumous 'Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya Head Up II).' Throughout his career, he released five solo albums and numerous collaborative projects with artists including Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone and Dead Prez's Cooper was born in Sierra Madre, CA, and moved to New Jersey when he was eight years old. It was there that he met fellow Outlawz members Yaki Kadafi and Hussein Fatal and started recording music. He connected with Shakur after moving back to California and made his debut on the rapper's 1996 album 'The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory,' appearing on the opening track 'Bomb First (My Second Reply)' and as part of the Outlawz on 'Just Like Daddy' and 'Hail Mary.' Over the years, Cooper amassed a sizable discography following his solo debut 'Noble Justice' in 2002. He released his most recent album 'Outlaw University' in 2023. The Outlawz member was found dead in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday morning, according to reports. 3 3 Rufus Lee Cooper III, known by his stage name Young Noble, joined the hip-hop group Outlawz in 1996. Noble featured in four songs on Tupac's 1996 album 'The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory ', including the hit 'Hail Mary'. He also released several solo studio albums such as 'Noble Justice' and 'Son of God'. The rapper reportedly died from a gunshot wound that "appears self-inflicted at this time", sources told TMZ. Hip-hop artist E.D.I. Mean, who was also part of Tupac Shakur's group, shared the news via Instagram on Friday, saying he was 'at a loss for words'.
