EA SPORTS To Announce NHL 26 Cover Athlete Aug. 4
EA SPORTS will announce the cover athlete for NHL 26 on Aug. 4, the company said in a release Friday. EA SPORTS NHL changed all of their profile photos and banners on social media to a generic NHL 26 logo, finally acknowledging the games existence, as well as a standard and limited edition version of the game. With Season 8 set begin in NHL 25 on it will be interesting to see if there are any tie-ins with NHL 26. In a recent earnings call and in the Events and Presentations tab on the EA website NHL 26 is schedule to release in Q2 before EA FC 26. It was recently announce EA FC will be released Sept. 26, meaning NHL will likely release early to mid September. Comment below you think the cover athlete will be. The Hughes brothers were revealed to be the NHL 25 cover athletes in a leaked trailed on Aug. 19, 2024. Check out the new 99 overall HUT Team Builders. New May 27 NHL 25 Patch
A new patch is going live at 1pm EST/10am PT in NHL 25. The update is to add support for upcoming World of Chel and Hockey Ultimate Team live content. 🛠️An #NHL25 patch will be deployed tomorrow (Tuesday, May 27) at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT. This update adds support for upcoming HUT and WoC Live content. Server downtime is expected to last up to an hour after the patch. Please finish any online games before then. — EA SPORTS NHL (@EASPORTSNHL) May 26, 2025 EA SPORTS NHL warns server downtime could last for up to one hour after the update. New NHL 25 Roster Update, Ryan Leonard, Gabriel Perreault, Jimmy Snuggerud, And Oliver Moore Added
EA SPORTS NHL 25 - A new roster update is live in NHL 25 with new rookies being added to the game. New York Rangers forward Gabriel Perreault, Washing Capitals forward Ryan Leonard, St. Louis Blues forward Jimmy Snuggerud, Chicago Blackhawks forward Oliver Moore and Blackhawks defenseman Sam Rinzel all received new playable characters in-game. Advertisement Leonard received medium elite potential, while the other three were given medium top 6 potential. Rinzel is a medium top 4 defenseman. Montreal Canadiens prospects Jacob Fowler and Ivan Demidov should be added once they appear in their first professional games in North America. All players were assigned to their respective teams and are playable in play now, franchise mode, shootout mode, and all other offline modes. Alex Ovechkin's Career Ratings In EA NHL Games

In honor of Ovechkin doing what many thought was impossible we wanted to look back at his career ratings in EA NHL video games. Advertisement Ovechkin debuted as the cover star at 95 overall in NHL 07 and has been a dominate in-game character all the way up to NHL 25. His career ratings are below. NHL 07: (Cover Athlete) 95 overall NHL 08: 91 NHL 09: 94 NHL 10: 92 NHL 11: 94 NHL 12: 93 NHL 13: 93 NHL 14: 94 NHL 15: 93 NHL 16: 93 NHL 17: 94 NHL 18: 92 NHL 19: 92 NHL 20: 92 NHL 21: 93 NHL 22: 92 NHL 23: 92 NHL 24: 91 NHL 25: 91 Ovechkin was initially an 89 overall when NHL 25 was first released, his first time being rated below a 90 overall, but is now up to 91 overall after mid-season updates.
