Aries Oil Field Services has announced a partnership with global 3D printing solutions provider EOS and regional additive manufacturing provider Phillips. The collaboration brings advanced metal 3D printing capabilities to the Middle East.
The company has commissioned an EOS M 290 metal 3D printer at its UAE facility. This move marks the establishment of a local centre of excellence for metal additive manufacturing. According to Aries, the facility will offer regional access to industrial 3D printing, eliminating the need for overseas sourcing.
This step comes as industries face increasing supply chain challenges. Many sectors are now seeking on-demand, customized, and lightweight metal components. Aries reported that additive manufacturing is positioned to meet these needs and improve operational flexibility.
The company said it is aligning with EOS, known for its Direct Metal Laser Solidification (DMLS) technology, and Phillips, a regional expert in delivering full-cycle additive manufacturing solutions.
Rajesh Thorwe of Aries stated that the collaboration reflects the company's focus on sustainability and innovation. He noted that the integration of EOS's DMLS technology and Phillips's expertise will allow Aries to deliver reliable metal 3D printing solutions. The company will prioritize applications in maritime, oil and gas, defence, and heavy industries. The facility will offer design-to-part services
