EPA launches pesticides info app
EPA announced the availability of a new app meant to help farmers comply with mitigation rules on the go as part of the agency's technology advancements mission.
The Pesticide App for Label Mitigations includes two calculators — one on spray drift and another on runoff or erosion — meant to help farmers reduce non-targeted pesticide exposures.
The tool is supposed to 'help pesticide users understand available mitigation measures without the need for redundant data entry or any additional software or models,' the agency said in a Thursday news release, which also says PALM 'is part of the agency's larger information technology improvement goals.'
