Waltair Division revenue crosses Rs 3000 crore in Q1
Visakhapatnam: The Waltair division railway manager, Lalith Bohra, said that the division's gross revenue crossed Rs 3000 crore, which is 14% higher than last year and 6% above the target.
He said the division's performance continues to shine as a blue-chip division, with passenger earnings rising by 2% and freight earnings by over 16%.
Addressing the employees after hoisting the tricolour flag, he said the division broke all past records with 26 million tonnes loaded in the first four months of this fiscal year, including coal, iron ore, pig iron, finished steel, fertilisers, mineral oils, and others. Waltair Division ranks among the top five loading divisions of
Indian Railways
and recorded the highest growth among the top ten loading divisions of Indian Railways.
The celebration was attended by ADRM (Infra) E Santharam, Jyotsna Bohra, president, ECoRWWO, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner AP Dubey, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Jusuf Kabir Ansari, and other branch officers and staff.
